How do tourists spend their money in Israel? Mastercard has published a comprehensive report that dissected incoming tourist expenditures over the past year and has revealed interesting and sometimes surprising revelations. For example, Dutch tourists put out about 10 percent of their spending here on bicycle rentals. The data also shows that November is the most visited month to the country, contrary to popular belief. Dozens of climate activists protested in front of the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday to protest a climate bill they describe as “shameful," that would “allow the government to continue promoting destructive measures” damaging the environment. The protest took place  in Jerusalem while the Ministerial Committee on Legislation discussed the climate bill. “We are at a critical moment in the fight to stop the climate crisis,” environmental organizations said in a joint announcement. The police together with the Israel Security Agency  Shin Bet have arrested 2 residents of the Negev suspected of stealing 26,000 bullets from the Tse’elim army base. All the bullets were recovered.    The theft was  discovered when  a hole in the fence was spotted  during a routine patrol of the base’s perimeter fence.    The right-wing NGO Regavim, which describes itself as a “a public movement dedicated to the protection of Israel’s national lands and resources,” described the incident as the latest example of “Bedouistan.” Regavim's International Director, Naomi Kahn, spoke about the incident with KAN's Mark Weiss. The Israel Antiquities Authority has announced an amnesty for the public to return any and all artifacts without any kind of punishment. The amnesty is expected to last for a few weeks and people can bring back any antiquity they may have without facing any prosecution. Prof. Gideon Avni, the chief archaeologist of the Israel Antiquities Authority, said this was the first time that an amnesty operation was being made. In sports, Israel’s under 20 soccer team at the World Cup Mondalito in Argentina are unbelievably setting their sights on the World Cup trophy. This after they shocked Brazil in the quarter-finals last night with a 3-2 comeback victory after extra-time. Police were bracing for thousands of people  to participate in Jerusalem’s Pride parade on Thursday. This year the  annual event  is taking place under Israel’s most right-wing government ever, with openly homophobic members. A new trail is opening up at the National Park of Masada. The most visited park in the country has always been fascinating with its combination of majestic beauty, preserved archaeological treasures including King Herod’s palace and its riveting historical story. Visitors had the option of climbing the steep Snake Path to the top, or the Roman siege ramp or the cable car. Now, the Nature and Parks Authority has opened up a new trail that will allow visitors – who are not afraid of hieghts – to go beyond the walls and down the cliffs. It’s called the Masada challenge. After years of research, an Israeli company, Flying Spark, has began production of protein powder in Thailand that bounds to revolutionize the food industry.
