After years of research, an Israeli company, Flying Spark, has began production of protein powder in Thailand that bounds to revolutionize the food industry. The unique production line is the first of its kinds to use fruit fly larva and is able to make 400 kilos of organic, all-natural protein out of one square meter of space every month. The goal of the company is to create an alternative, super- efficient sustainable source of protein without harm to the planet. Reporter Arieh O’Sullivan spoke with founder and CEO of Flying Spark Eran Gronich about the endeavor. Gronich says their goal is to help replace the highly inefficient and polluting meat industries.
