Chile has apologized to Israel over the recent diplomatic incident when the  country's president, Gabriel Boric, refused to accept the credentials of incoming Israeli Ambassador Gil Artzyeli, against the backdrop of the death of a Palestinian youth during an IDF operation. The acting Chilean foreign minister, in a phone call with the director-general of Israel's foreign ministry. stressed that ties with Israel are important for Chile. The acceptance of credentials ceremony has been rescheduled for September 30th. The current president of Chile is a known critic of Israel. It has been exactly two years since the Abraham Accords have been signed, ushering in full and flourishing diplomatic and economic ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. These paved the way for diplomatic relations with three other Arab countries: Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan. Dan Feferman, Global Affairs Director at Sharaka and founding member of the UAE-Israel Business Council, said that if the enthusiastic and positive momentum of the Abraham Accords can be sustained then more Arab countries will want to join in the coming years. Marvel Studios has announced that it was introducing the comic book heroine Sabra in its upcoming film “Captain America: New World Order.” The comic book superhero is to be played by Israeli actress Shira Haas. Calev Ben David is the anchor for the nightly news program “The Rundown” at I-24 News, and is also a long-time comic book fan. Ben-David said he suspects the character in the upcoming Captain America film will likely focus on conspiracy theories, neo-Nazis and anti-Semitism. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi has  warned Hizbullah against acting on its threat to attack either the Karish drilling platform or any other Israeli target.  An unnamed Israeli political official said that Israel intended to “operate Karish the moment the work is completed, and any attack on the platform will be met with our response,” adding, “The Lebanese government needs to make a decision.”   US Special Envoy  Amos Hochstein, after talks last week with Israeli and Lebanese officials,  spoke optimistically about the Israeli-Lebanese negotiations and said that very good progress had been made. Senior Lebanese officials also said that most of the issues have been resolved. The right-wing Jerusalem-based policy forum Kohelet says a referendum must be held to approve any agreement with Lebanon on a maritime border. Prime Minister Yair Lapid is in Germany Monday for talks with  President Steinmeier,  Chancellor Scholz, Foreign Minister Baerbock and other senior officials. They will discuss, among other things, the issue of the Iranian nuclear program.    The prime minister is  accompanied by five Holocaust survivors. Today marks the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 al Qaeda terrorist attacks in the United States that killed 3,000 people and set off America’s War on Terror. On the outskirts of Jerusalem is the only memorial outside of the United States that commemorates that event. This evening a ceremony was held there, attended by the US ambassador to Israel, dignitaries and top officials from Keren Kayemet L’Israel, the JNF which set up the memorial. Representing the JNF was David Borowich Yaari, director of the board of KKL. A very rare parchment from the time of the First Temple, over 2,600 years ago, that had been given to an American woman and hanged on a wall in the western state of Montana in the United States for the past 55 years, has been recovered by antiquity agents and returned to Israel. The fragment, which contains four lines of paleo-Hebrew script and addressed to a man called Ishamel, is to be presented to the public at a conference next week in Jerusalem. Reporter Arieh O’Sullivan spoke with Dr. Joe Uziel, head of the Dead Sea Scrolls Unit at the Israel Antiquities Authority, about the parchment and its unique story. In the north, the IDF is on alert, Iron Dome batteries are deployed and the navy has reinforced its presence around the Karish natural gas fields in the eastern Mediterranean. This as Hizbullah Has reportedly carried out the largest mobilization of its forces since the 2066 Second Lebanon War. Lt.-Col.
