When discussing honor that leads to victory, one cannot overlook the importance of showing respect towards our parents. The Bible instructs us in Deuteronomy 5:16 to "Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you." This commandment holds significant weight as it is one of the ten commandments given by God himself. Honoring our parents goes beyond simply obeying their rules or fulfilling their wishes. It involves showing them genuine love, respect, and appreciation for all they have done for us. Our parents have sacrificed much of their time, energy, and resources in order to provide for us and give us a good life. This is a promise that has been given to us throughout the Bible, and it is something that we should strive for every day of our lives. Honoring God can take many forms, from honesty in our dealings with others to treating everyone with kindness and respect. Remember, kindness and respect are like the sun and the rain, essential components for growth and flourishing. Abraham is a perfect example of someone who honored God in all areas of his life. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks, he remained faithful to God and trusted His promises. As a result, Abraham achieved great things and became one of the most important figures in the history of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. If you want to experience true success and fulfillment in your life, then following the example of Abraham is essential. Genesis 18:1

"But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor but in his own country, among his kin, and his own house. And he could do no mighty work, except that he laid his hands upon a few sick folks and healed them." Mark 6:4-5 Honor is a prime word in the scripture. Right from immediately after Jesus was anointed of the spirit, and He spoke of the same in His hometown, we see the very first instance of dishonor in the scriptures (Luke 4:18-30). They took Him as common. They wanted to kill Him. It's quite instructive that they received Him the very next place He went (Capernaum), and He cast out demons there. In the passage, He also gave instances of two non-Jews in the Old Testament that received from prophet Elijah and Elisha's ministry because they had regard for them. This cast my mind back to the story of Hannah and Eli (1 Samuel 1:12-17). Eli was mistaken. He prejudged her wrongly, yet she responded most courteously ever. In Joshua 1:8, God gave Joshua specific instructions on how to be successful as the leader of Israel. He told him to meditate on his word day and night, obey it completely, and not turn from it. This instruction was crucial for Joshua's success, and it remains relevant for us today. Remember, the believer's victory is like a runner in a race, striving for the finish line. God's word is the fuel that sustains us throughout the journey and helps us cross the finish line successfully. By following God's instructions as spoken through His word and putting them into practice daily, we can experience the same success that Joshua did. Right from the time of Abraham down to the time of Apostle Paul, there has always been a reason to fight or acquire victory. Obviously, the mention of the word victory already connotes a fight; it says there is a struggle. Now, just like nothing accentuates the importance of freedom more than slavery, nothing makes victory as desirous or as sweet as the colossal failure we see around us. One of the most insightful thoughts on this can be found in the writing of Isaiah. First, he says, 'Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.' Next, he says, 'See, the darkness covers the earth, and gross darkness the people' (Isaiah 60:1-2). This is definitely saying your light should shine amid gross darkness. Now, if your light becomes darkness, something must be wrong. Clearly,

However, what seems to be a division in everyday experience among believers. Sometimes you see believers wallow in less desirable circumstances, live in despair, or succumb to defeat. This ought not to be. God has made available in us as a believer power 'exceedingly abundantly above all we could ever ask or think' (Ephesians 3:20). The believer is God's house. In Christ, we have authority 'far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:21).
