In Mark 10:6, it says that God created us in his image. This means we have been given the ability to think and make choices. We also have the ability to love and be compassionate. One of the most amazing things about being created in God's image is that we can become like him. This happens as we learn to think and act like him. We can also become more compassionate as we imitate God's love. The Bible says that we are to be "imitators of God." (Ephesians 5:1). As we grow in our understanding of who God is, we can begin to imitate him more and more in our own lives. We can also share his love with those around us. Remember, every person has inherent value and worth simply because they bear the image of their Creator. No matter their race, gender, or social status - all people have a divine stamp upon them.
