The Philadelphia 76ers have now have a season-long three-game winning streak after holding on to beat the Jazz Saturday night 114-111. Both Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey came away with 32 points in the contest while Guerschon Yabusele contributed 12 points off the bench with eight rebounds, five of them on the offensive glass. The Sixers were certainly coming off an emotional win against the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day, so in the early going of this matchup with the Jazz, the Sixers looked like they were ready for a let-down game. The Jazz outscored the Sixers in tonight's opening frame 34-22. The Philadelphia 76ers came away with a huge upset win in Boston against the Celtics winning their Christmas Day matchup 118 to 114. Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 33 points and 12 assists while Caleb Martin came up with a season high 23 points while making seven of his 93 point attempts. Joel Embiid had 27 points as well!The Sixers enjoyed a 21-4 run in the fourth quarter to build their lead to 15, but as the Celtics normally do, they stormed back! Threes from Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Jaylen Brown helped close the gap to just five. That’s when Embiid came up with a great Defensive stop on Tatum and pulled down a rebound off an Al Horford missed three.Nick Nurse showed off his coaching instincts by making sure the Sixers were awarded .02 of a second before a Sixers in-bounds play with 1:09 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Philadelphia 76ers won a wild one Monday night, beating the San Antonio Spurs 111-106! Tyrese Maxey's near triple double was overshadowed by a drama-filled second quarter that featured Andre Drummond initially being ejected only to be un-ejected. Then minutes later Joel embiid being thrown out of the game with a double technical foul for arguing and then making contact with NBA official Jenna Schroeder.  Without embiid Tyrese maxey stepped up to drop in 32 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists while only turning the basket basketball over once in 41 minutes. The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 126-99 as Philly could not find a way to stop Cleveland’s 3-point shooting. In total, the Sixers allowed the Cavs to hit 22 threes on the night matching Cleveland’s season high set earlier in the month. Despite the blowout, Tyrese Maxey managed to score a game high 27 points but had little support. Joel Embiid made his return from a sinus fracture wearing a black face mask for tonight's basketball game. He would show no ill effects as he helped lead the Sixers to a 108-98 win over the Charlotte Hornets. With the win the Sixers improved to 9-16 on the season and sweep their four-game regular season series with Charlotte.The Sixers started out hot outscoring the Hornets 41-23 in the first quarter thanks in large part to Tyrese Maxey netting 15 of his 23 points in the opening frame.  The Sixers enjoyed as much as a 23 point lead in the basketball game but in the start of the fourth quarter with Joel and beat on the bench the Hornets started to make a run. They opened the final frame on a 12/2 run forcing Sixers head coach nick nurse to put in bead back in the game. The night started out well knowing that Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George we're going to be able to play together for the second consecutive game, but that positivity didn’t even last a half. With just seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter Embiid took a forearm to the face from Pacers’ guard Benedict Mathurin and went to floor.
