  • Hizbullah is hunting you. Time for a new narrative on Hizbullah

    27/05/2024 Duración: 12min

Israel is not telling the narrative about Hizbullah, which has dropped off the Western world radar decades ago, and the country needs to refit its messaging if it intends to deal with Hizbullah because every Israeli deserves the right to live in peace and security in their country. This according to Cliff Sobin, an author of three books on Hizbullah and Israel. He told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that messaging needs to grab attention, be emotional and be informative. So far, Israel isn’t delivering this, even to its own people. (photo: Alma) See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

  • The ICJ didn't actually order an end to the Rafah offensive

    26/05/2024 Duración: 05min

Despite  headlines declaring the UN's International Court of Justice ordered Israel to immediately halt its offensive in Rafah,  Israeli officials claim that the judges at The Hague  issued a very carefully worded ruling that does not actually compel the fighting in Rafah to stop, nor does it prevent Israel from defending itself. Robbie Sabel is a professor of law at Jerusalem’s Hebrew university and a former legal advisor at the foreign ministry. KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with him about Friday’s ICJ ruling. 20/05/2024 Duración: 09min

The court held hearings last week on the request, which is part of an ongoing case brought by Pretoria accusing Israel of violating the Genocide Convention in its war against Hamas in Gaza.  Israel has lambasted South Africa  over what it termed Pretoria’s “outrageous distortions” of the truth and “abuse” of the court’s procedures. 15/05/2024 Duración: 10min

Avi Melamed is a strategic intelligence analyst and an expert on the Arab world and founder and CEO of Inside the Middle East: Intelligence Perspectives. KAN's Mark Weiss asked him if Israeli-Egyptian relations are in crisis. (Photo:Flash90)See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
