Through 1984 and 1985, a mysterious group calling itself "The Monster With 21 Faces" waged an extortion and blackmail campaign against numerous Japanese companies. This bizarre vendetta began on March 18th, 1984, when Glico company president Katsuhisa Ezaki was abducted from his home in Nishinomiya. He was held for three days, but - following his escape - his abductors would pivot their torment from him to his company. On July 17th, 2018, Danniella Vian disappeared in Mobile, Alabama. Danniella, a 24-year-old mother of one, had spent months trying to get her life back on-track after a couple of setbacks. Between December of 2005 and December of 2007, a serial killer terrorized sex workers in Daytona Beach, Florida. 45-year old LaQuetta Gunther was the first to be targeted, falling prey to this unknown individual on Christmas Eve 2005. 34-year old Julie Green would follow just a few weeks later - on January 13th, 2006 - and the killer would strike again a month later: killing 35-year old Iwana Patton at some point in February. Nearly two years would pass, in which the Daytona Beach Police Department urgently tried to find the killer. Unfortunately, he would surface once more in December of 2007 to murder 30-year old Stacey Gage, before disappearing once and for all. From 2013 to 2016, a series of high-profile crimes shook the region of Bardstown, Kentucky. But predating all of them was a mysterious murder. Daniel Cahoe was a 34-year old father, who was known to live as a bit of a drifter. Kindhearted and simple-minded, Daniel was known for his helpful spirit and his love of the outdoors. On January 5th, 2012, Daniel's remains were found in a barn out in rural Spencer County. Through 2015 and 2016, the region of Bardstown was marshaled behind one family as they fought to find their missing loved one: Crystal Rogers. The patriarch of this family, 54-year old Tommy Ballard, was no stranger to tragedy. He had endured the loss of a sister in his early adulthood, and had worked hard to ensure the safety and happiness of his family in the years since.
