  • Rodney Marks

    03/11/2019 Duración: 50min

A mysterious death at the South Pole would spark a nearly decade-long international investigation.Rodney Marks was a 32-year-old astrophysicist, who worked at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. There, he had been working on a project to help map the stars, and not only did he take great pride and enjoyment in his work, but he also enjoyed the isolated culture down at the South Pole - where he would live for months at a time.On May 11th, 2000, Rodney began to complain of illness. Over the next 36 hours, his symptoms would progress to the point of no return, and the following evening, he would pass away due to total heart failure. Because the South Pole was so isolated, an autopsy could not be performed until months later. But when his remains were examined by a coroner later that year, the results were shocking... • Spring-Heeled Jack

    13/10/2019 Duración: 32min

Through the latter half of the 1830's, an urban legend began to take shape on the rooftops and in the foggy alleyways of London.First came rumors of an entity named "Steel Jack," who assaulted people (primarily women) in the dark of night. Over time, though, the rumors began to evolve, with the shadowy figure assaulting men and women alike throughout all of England, and engaging in physical feats deemed inhuman. Decades later, the myth of "Spring-Heeled Jack" continued to live on, with the entity making appearances at-random. The enigmatic Shadow Brokers, who seemingly disappeared in January of 2017, would break their silence just three months later.Following the destruction of a Syrian airbase in April 2017, the Shadow Brokers returned to continue their campaign of cyber-terror. • The Shadow Brokers (Part One: Auction)

    29/09/2019 Duración: 43min

In August of 2016, a mysterious hacker collective began releasing files and folders stolen directly from the NSA.Many of the programs this person or group released appeared to be legitimate cyber-weapons, which had been developed by U.S. intelligence. Despite the audaciousness of their posts - which became more immature and unhinged as time went on - the files they released seemed to have come directly from an NSA server. A leak of this magnitude had never been seen before, and the cyber-intel community struggled to stop the bleeding. But over the next several months, the Shadow Brokers would continue to wage a one-sided campaign against their sworn enemy: a secretive branch of the NSA nicknamed the "Equation Group"... 08/09/2019 Duración: 53min

However, the remaining seven victims would be much harder to ID. It took several months for investigators to piece together the details of these women's tragic lives, but the exact circumstances of their disappearances/murders would be hard to grasp. Years later, police continue to have many questions about these women, and who had targeted them... • West Mesa Bone Collector (Part One: The Pit)

    01/09/2019 Duración: 37min

On February 2nd, 2009, a woman walking her dog would stumble upon the largest crime scene in Albuquerque history. In the years prior, this once-desolate corner of ABQ had been ground zero for rapid expansion. Housing developments had been popping up left and right, but the 2008 recession caused a vast amount of land to remain undeveloped: in particular, a roughly 100-acre lot located just west of 118th Street. While out on an evening stroll, a woman's dog would unearth a human bone. Before long, police had begun excavating what would be the largest crime scene in Albuquerque history. Within a month, they had identified four of the victims (all were sex workers that had gone missing years prior) but several more remained unidentified... as did their collective killer...
