Once there she finds out the school isn't all it's cracked up to be and that it's just a cover during a series of grisly murders. Suzy, along with her schoolmate Sara, looks to uncover what's really happening. SUSPIRIA was directed by Dario Argento, written by Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi and stars Jessica Harper, Stefani Casini, Alida Valli, and Joan Bennett. Written and directed by Christian Carion, JOYEUX NOEL (aka MERRY CHRISTMAS) tells the story of the historic 1914 Christmas truce that occurred between the French, German and Scottish soldiers during World War I. It's a touching film about the triumph of man and finding out that the man you once thought of as your enemy might have more in common with you than originally anticipated. The film stars Benno Furman, Guillaume Canet, Diane Kruger, Daniel Bruhl, and Gary Lewis. The film was Official Selection at the Festival de Cannes and was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards as well as being nominated for Best Foreign Feature at the BAFTA awards. On Episode 20 of the SLPS Michael and Nick pay tribute to one of the legends in the horror genre; the late, great George A. Romero. Romero died July 16th, 2017 and surprised us all. On this episode we'll be discussing CREEPSHOW, his classic anthology team-up with Stephen King and Tom Savini. CREEPSHOW was born out the Romero and King’s shared love for classic EC Horror Comics and pays tribute to these classic books in it’s style and storytelling. CREEPSHOW is an anthology film broken down into 5 parts plus a wraparound. These stories feature everything from cake loving undead, to a mysterious crate, and even a man turning into a plant. Starring in the film is an assortment of notably names from Leslie Nielson, Hal Holbrooke, Tom Atkins, Ted Dansen, Adrienne Barbeau and many more. On today's episode of the SLPS Nick goes SOLO! We know, there's been a lot of solo efforts as of late but trust us when we say it's just as sad for us as it is for you! On this week's episode Nick talks about his feelings on William Shakespeare and the idea of hero worship. On top of that, he talks about seeing BLACK MIRROR for the first time, introducing his cousin in-law to INNERSPACE and Michael Bolton. It's a fun, yet brief episode that we think you all will enjoy!

On episode 18 of the SLPS Michael sits down with Brennan Klein to talk about slasher films! Brennan Klein, best known for his writing of Blumhouse.com and his blog Jiffy Pop Culture, is a slasher film expert. Despite his young age he's taken it upon himself to see every single slasher film from 1980 through 1989. Heathers, directed by Michael Lehmann from a script drafted by Daniel Waters tells the story of young Veronica Sawyer and the agony of being in high school. Veronica is a member of a very elitist, color coordinated sect of popular girls aptly named The Heathers based on the fact that all of their names are Heather. Veronica is blasé about it all and unhappy, that is, until she meets the very mysterious Jason Dean. Jason Dean is, as Veronica describes, “a dark horse in the running”. He’s not the typical kind of guy with his look, his interests… and the fact that he’s probably a sociopath. After accidentally killing the head of the Heathers and disguising it as a suicide, Veronica and JD head down a dark road of killing for the sake of making their high school a better place.
