Shame List Picture Show: A Movie Podcast

Now it's my turn for a solo episode. Listen up as I talk about the cinematic milestones that define the various stages in my life. What about you? Do you have films that represent the important parts of your life?

A las, Michael is going solo again, so we apologize in advanced for this upcoming rant. Don't worry, your regularily scheduled podcast will return, but we wanted to make sure you always have a new episode. Whenever Michael has to go solo he'll now be calling the episode "A Moment with Michael" where he chooses a topic and talks about it for as long as he feels is necessary. Also, please note there's an audio issue in this episode. For some reason both solo episodes have the clip from the Exorcist (which was played during that episode) playing low in the audio mix. We've looked in to why this keeps happening and be assured the Michael's house is not haunted. We're working on it and thank you for the patience.

This is episode 6 of the Shamelist Pictureshow. Within its digital audio walls you will hear Michael and Nicholas discuss the 1970 Chuck Jones feature-length animated film, The Phantom Tollbooth. Milo, bored and lacking any interest in school, finds a strange tollbooth in his room. On the other side is the Land Beyond, which needs his help to rescue the Princesses of Rhyme and Reason. One of Nick's favorite films, he insisted that Michael add it to his shamelist.

Michael is flying solo today because a technical difficulty destroyed the episode we were SUPPOSED to post. Listen in as Michael counts you through the films he loved of 2016! On episode 4 of the SPP our heroes will be discussing William Friedkin's classic horror film THE EXORCIST! Made in 1974 by Friedkin from a screenplay by William Peter Blatty (who wrote the original novel), the film revolves around a mother and daughter. Once the daughter, played by Linda Blair, becomes possessed by what she feels is a demon, she turns to a local priest to help her daughter. The film is still to this day considered one of the scariest movies ever made and it's been on Michael's shamelist forever! Let us know what you think!

Welcome to Episode 3... OUR CHRISTMAS SPECIAL! On this episode our heroes will delve into two movies from their shamelists. From Nick's list they'll be discussing Bob Clark's BLACK CHRISTMAS, a proto slasher from the early '70s about a group of soroity sisters and a creepy caller. Then, from Michael's list they'll be discussing THE FAMILY STONE, a family drama from the 2000s about a large family getting together for their annual Christmas, but with a new added element; the son Everett Stone brings his wealthy, stuck-up girlfriend with him. On this podcast our heroes will discuss Joel Schumacher's 1987 coming-of-age-vampire film THE LOST BOYS! The film tells the story of brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) as they move to the ocean town of Santa Carla with their mother (Diane Wiest). While there, the brothers encounter a group of motorcycle riding teens that they find out to be vampires! While Michael slowly begins to fall in-line with the group, Sam tries his best to rid Santa Carla of the threat. This week's shamelist pick comes courtesy of Nick. On this podcast our heroes will dicuss weekly a film that is on one of their personal shamelists. What is a shamelist? Well, a shamelist is a list of shame (duh) filled with books, movies and whatnot that you know you should have seen but never did. So, first up is a pick from Michael's shamelist: Star Trek - The Next Generation. TNG was produced by Gene Roddenberry in 1988 and was based around new adventures of the starship Enterprise.
