The Philadelphia 76ers fought hard but fell to the Denver Nuggets 137-134 despite a game high 42 points by Tyrese Maxey the knight marked the 13th consecutive game where the Sixers guard scored at least 28 points for Philly. The game was close throughout with neither team being able to take a double-digit lead but when push came to shove The Sixers lost their focus. Down three, with :11 left in the game head coach Nick Nurse called an inbounds play that looked to be designed to get only two points. That's exactly what the Sixers got on a Kelly Oubre layup. Then on the ensuing inbounds play the Nuggets got the ball to Jamal Murray who was Immediately fouled with three seconds left in the game. With Denver in the bonus, Murry went to the line and hit both free throws to put Denver back up by three points. The Sixers were only Able to muster a desperation three by Guerschon Yabusele as time expired. The final play was not a reflection of Guerschon's night as he netted a career-high 28 points. The Philadelphia 76ers notched their fourth straight victory with a 117104 win over the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night. Tyrese Maxey put up 30 points in the win while he and guard Kyle Lowry led the Sixers 30 assist night with 8 assists apiece.  The Sixers were able to secure the victory thanks in part to Lowry's play off the bench who also chipped in 13 points and Ricky counseled IV who netted 13. With no regular center available for the Sixers to go again Domantas Sabonis the Sixers had to rely on Guerschon Yabusele and Adem Bona to d-up the big man. The Philadelphia 76ers lost their sixth straight game as they fell to the Milwaukee Bucks 123-109 despite a game high 37 points from Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers point guard was one of five starters who finished in double figures in scoring for Philly.Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 34 points while also pulling down 15 rebounds.
