The Philadelphia 76ers gave the New York Knicks all they could handle but unfortunately fell in overtime 125-119 Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 33 points despite scoring just six in the first half. Paul George was second on the team with 26 points on the night to go along with 6 assists and three steals. Maxey practically willed the 76ers to force overtime scoring 7 points in the final :36 seconds of regulation while also forcing a key turnover. Sixers rookie Justin Edwards did his part as well especially in the clutch scoring 8 of his 10 points in the 4th Quarter. The New York Knicks controlled throughout the game leading by as much as 16 before the Sixers roared back in the third quarter to outscore the Knicks 38-25.
