On our latest show, in celebration of the crossovers that we're seeing this week between all the UK soaps, we've teamed up with Alex and Rob from Walford Weekly for a special bonus podcast. For the past week, we've been diligently tuning into EastEnders whilst they've been catching up with the latest goings on in Corrie, and in this podcast, we get together to talk about how we found the experience! As well as sharing our thoughts about the characters and storylines in each other's soaps of choice, we chat about how we felt the crossover scenes have gone so far and discussed the future of the genre in this ever-changing television landscape.

While Jenny's drowning her sorrows and looking for someone to blame (looks like, unlike Natasha, the Platts have dodged a bullet there!), the Alahan clan has been torn apart after last week's car crash. Top of the tragedies this week, though, is Natasha's death. People are saying that Johnny's untimely demise was a little heavily telegraphed in the episodes leading up to Super Soap Week, but seriously - have we not all seen this coming for Natasha since the minute she set foot back on the cobbles last year with a new son for Nick? In this special edition of the podcast, recorded on location from our holiday home in Dorset, we chat (very quietly so not to wake Gemma's parents!) about the epic episodes of Coronation Street that were broadcast in the UK on the 22nd October. The bar had been set high and our disbelief had been well and truly suspended following Monday and Wednesday's episodes, and we settled down in front of the telly on Friday night, full of anticipation about what the climax of the week would bring. Yes, we may well have predicted some of the major story beats (namely, Natasha being shot in a case of mistaken identity and Johnny coming to a sticky end whilst trying to rescue Jenny), but we were still left incredibly satisfied by the episodes on the whole, and majorly impressed by everything that went into the scenes underground - scripting, stunts, sets and all.  We hope you enjoy listening to our discussion of the episodes!

It's Super Soap Week, and that can only mean one thing: total carnage on the cobbles as Horror Nation Street kicks off in spectacular style. This episode of the podcast comes at you a few days earlier than usual as we wouldn't have been able to record our normal episode over the weekend. Well believe it or not, not only have we uncovered the secret - bundling a load of character names, plots points, locations and props in a hat and drawing a selection at random - we've actually got hold of said equipment ourselves and used it to find out what's in store for us this December! Okay, this may sound rather silly, but hey, it was actually quite a bit of fun trying to flesh out links between some of the bizarre combinations of characters that were drawn.. Just don't come knocking at our door if none of it turns out to be true. Or if all of it turns out to be true. Heck, we've just moved house, so you don't know where we live anyway!

We've done it! After many months of banging on about it on the podcast, we've finally moved house this week, so this marks the first episode recorded on our new place!  This podcast covers the week of the 13th to the 17th September (Episodes #10426 - 10433), which saw a massive load of characters who we hadn't seen for a while show back on the cobbles. In addition to Ken's well overdue return from Southampton, we had both Freda and Claudia making a comeback, though sadly in unhappy circumstances.. This week, we were lucky to have a chat with Maximus Evans, who plays Corrie's latest bad boy, Corey Brent. Having just seen Corey found not guilty in Seb's murder trial, we were keen to find out Max's view of the despicable character he's been playing for the past two years on the show, and we also learn what it was like to film those flashback scenes from a few weeks ago as well as what he thinks should end up happening to Corey when soap justice eventually catches up with him!
