Today's passage is one the hardest passages to in the Bible. It is one of the two very direct rejections of God's Kingship (the second being when the crowd rejects Jesus on Good Friday).

In Acts 1, we read the story of the Ascension and the choosing of the disciple to replace Judas. We are reminded that Jesus has given us a mission and He is the framework for that mission.

Today, we look at the story of what is usually referred to as the Gentile Pentecost in Acts 10.

The story of the Ethiopian eunuch is one of the first stories in Acts of the Gospel reaching the Gentiles. God is doing a new work in His church and we get to join in!

Do we allow fear to get in the way of what God is doing?

We wrap up our Easter sermon series with the disciples in the Upper Room and a great proclamation, "We have seen the Lord."

Last week, Mary proclaims, "I have seen the Lord." This week, the disciples get their turn to testify to the resurrection.

It is Easter Sunday! He is Risen!

Jesus finds Himself in a parade, but this parade is very different than the one He'll take on Friday to the cross.

Do we really want to see Jesus? If we do see Him, is it on our terms or His?

We join with Thomas' question, "How can we know the way?"

We, as the people of God, are the very dwelling place of Christ. We are holy- not because of what we have done, but because of what Christ has done in us.

God's kingdom is not a place, but a power. Jesus comes to show what this Kingdom actually looks like.

Peter's story is one where his identity is found only in Christ.

We have all experienced failure at some point. Peter's story reminds us of the redemption, even in our failure.

We find Peter struggling to grasp the idea that the Messiah would suffer.

Advent helps remind us that int he midst of destruction, Jesus is coming.
