The Big 10 comes down to Michigan and Ohio State, but the real question will be whether Iowa can score 25 points a game and whether Northwestern can win in the United States. Texas may grab a Big 12 conference title as a parting gift. We don't talk about a certain team or a certain quarterback in the ACC. The Sun Belt reminds us that regional rivalries are fun, and the MAC reminds us that things can remain the same. Finally, Terry Funk reminds us all we're just egg-sucking dogs.

Georgia will walk to an unbeaten season, but the SEC West could see a surprise. Can anyone sticking around win the Pac-12? How many losses can Notre Dame afford and make the playoffs? Sixth Year Seniors returns for the 2023 college football season. Good gawd, what has happened to what we knew? The Big 10 will be up to 18 teams, the Pac will be down to four. Notre Dame might be able to save the world as we know it. Plus, stupid college sports gambling stories, a few bits of basketball, and RIP The Rick Scaia.

Connecticut wins its fifth national basketball title in 24 years, but it doesn't get them anywhere close to being a Blue Blood. The Big East is doing all the right things as a basketball-only conference. Will others follow? We need an LSU/Iowa women's rematch to start next season. And we imagine what P.T. Barnum could have done with NIL and social media.

Stunning upsets and fabulous finishes set up one of the most unique Final Fours in history. UConn is the favorite, but newcomers San Diego State, Miami FL and Florida Atlantic each pose unique threats. Meanwhile, Brandon Miller will not finish his gun maintenance class, Markquis Nowell is still dishing assists, and fantastic Final Four trivia to end the show.

Fairleigh Dickinson comes from literally nowhere to make #16 history. Meanwhile, Princeton becomes the third #15 in three years to make the Sweet 16. Michigan State can't be killed. Eric Musselman can't keep a shirt on. Gonzaga and TCU is too late for the East Coast and can't keep gamblers happy.

Selection Sunday presents us with intriguing matchups that obviously had no television ratings in mind. Not a potential Texas/Texas A&M game, not giving Duke a path to Madison Square Garden, and definitely not screw jobs to mid-majors like St. Mary's vs VCU and San Diego State vs. Charleston. Stay tuned for a manic March Madness.

We need teams like Asheville, Fordham, Colgate and Vermont in the tourney. We need tournaments like the Big 10 and the first two days of the Big 12. And we need the desperation of Villanova, North Carolina and Ohio State trying to make March Madness.

Brandon Miller just doesn't understand and doesn't seem to care. But that's OK. Neither does Nate Oats or the state of Alabama.
