We chat a bit about the news. Layoffs and Sony’s purchase of Bungie and the in development multiplayer shooter “Marathon”. Aadil updates on his latest MTG exploits, in person and on paper no less, along with the ‘fornitification’ of the game. Lucy played Schim, “Valley Peaks”, and “Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town”.Tangeants abound, with chats about “Toon Struck”, James Bond, etc. Ben starts off with the end of the Northern Monk x Sure Shot triple dry-hopped IPA, “Coolest S”. We played some games! Ben played the latest from miHoYo, Zenless Zone Zero. Lucy played Figment 2: Creed Valley. We also touched on the Games Pass price increases, and the Final Fantasy 7 games. Lucy had Palms, an IPA with coconut, a collab between Fuerst Wiacek and Finback. Ben had the Arbor and Chamonix Big Mountain Brewing collab Matt LeBlanc, a French style wheat beer. Aadil had the God Machine Pale Ale from Baron.

Just Lucy and Aadil this week. As is their style, they start with a discussion about Smart TVs, Sony and otherwise, and the ridiculous constraints on being a display they bring with them. Bluetooth toothbrushes are also discussed quelle surprise. They talk Call of Duty, outages, celebrity skins, and the weirdness of branded Roblox minigames/areas, e.g. BBC, IKEA. AI, the automated Amazon Store and the wonders of modern windows computers are also discussed. Lucy had the From the Farm Mixed Fermentation beer collaboration between Burning Sky and Wildflower. While Aadil has a treat given by a friend, the very unique collaboration between Moersleutel and Bådin, Salta Bananers, a Laphroaig Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Liquorice and Banana.

The crew is back together to have a brief chat about the Bristol Craft Beer Fest, before moving on to their ‘naughty3’ highlights, and Steam Next Fest (again). They also chat about Duck Detective, Banana, and the most recent addition to Ben’s house: A steam deck. Lucy had Wiper and True’s Alcohol Free Kaleidoscope Pale Ale, Aadil had Baron’s Brain Fog Hazy Pale Ale and Ben had Beavertown’s Sun God Tropical IPA.

The gang is all here and we start off with a chat about the Bristol Craft Beer Festival before moving on to some ‘not E3’ chat. Mulitverses is actually out. We haven’t played it but we want to talk about it, and the various WB franchises it could contain. To jump to another established franchise Ben has been playing The Rogue Prince of Persia and discusses the basics of the first 15 minutes. We go deep on POP history and talk turns to another Ubisoft staple, the Tom Clancy TM universe of games (which are connected or multiversal, we don’t know) Lucy drinks Post Mortum from Barney’s Beer. Just Lucy and Aadil for this week. We start the chat with the differences between making craft for supermarkets, versus just ‘regularly’. Then we move onto the latest information/leaks on Valve’s latest game Deadlock, MOBAs, and live-service games in general. The perils of TV apps, and starting back up in Balatro. Lucy played Little Kitty in Big City, Animal Well, and Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. Lucy had the Sundance Pale Ale from Wiper & True and then Stig Bergets x Verdant No Money, No Honey DIPA. A packed episode, full of news and games. The team starts with the news that Ubisoft is at it again, locking already developed content behind an array of editions and purchase dates. Aadil talks about Persona 3 Reload, Lucy gives her thoughts on Cryptmaster and Crow Country and Ben gives a light review of Fabledom. Lucy is on the water so Ben and Aadil drink two beers each. Aadil has Happy Hour from Wiper and True, and Chelt Vegas from Deya. Ben has two beers from Baron’s porridge series, drinking Mummy Bear and Daddy Bear.

It’s news galore on this week’s episode, but none of it is good. The team talk about the awful news that Roll 7 and Intercept Games have been shuttered, among a reshuffle of Private Division by Take Two Interactive. This spirals into chat on capitalism, podcatcher closures, and big shiny Cybertrucks. Aadil then delivers some of the more absurd headlines of that week. The beers are, Birdie from Copperbeach Brewing Co, Atom Beers returns with Neutron Star, and and Ice Cream Sour from Yonder.

The full team is back this week to chat about Nintendo’s continued battle with the internet. Ben and Lucy review Botany Manor, and Lucy gives her thoughts on Sophia the Traveler. Ben then chats about his first impressions of Sweet Transit, which somehow comes back to a chat about Lego. The episode ends with Lucy’s quiz. A rare occurrence where we all have games to chat about! Lucy played 20 Small Mazes, which is what it says on the tin. Lucy and Aadil get distracted with Balatro and the costs of tracking information. Ben played Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles. Aadil finished The Case of the Golden Idol and all the DLCs. Lucy has Cortex, a juicy IPA collab between Atom and Junk Soul Smothered followed by Baron’s Single Hop DIPA, Long Boy. Ben has Wiper & True’s KaleiDIPA (again), and Aadil has the Ooster-festbier from Hasen-brau and Brasserie de la Senne’s Bruxellensis Brett Pale Ale

The whole crew is present, but in an inversion Aadil has played most of the games. We start with a discussion about the Kotaku resignation, prompted by managements push away from news and opinions towards 50 game guides a week. Aadil and Lucy talk a bunch about Balatro while Ben waits patiently in the wings. Aadil continues on to talk about a game Lucy brought to his attention a few episodes back Slice and Dice. And then the episode is rounded out with the back of the box quiz from Lucy. Lucy had the Sundrips Honey DIPA from Deya. Lucy is freshly back from Manchester and talks to Ben about her time there visiting a bunch of different bars and breweries. A shorter affair following our 400th episode, Ben and Aadil get together for a beer and some gaming chat.
