Tanked Up

As a continuation from episode 191 the gang kept drinking and moved on to discuss their favourite games and genres of the decade. The drinking continued too with Aadil having beers from Unity and Good Chemistry, Lucy sinking back North Brewing Co and a Whiplash X Pig's Ear collab and Ben finishing on one from Polly's and another from Odyssey.

Aadil, Ben and Lucy got together for a big episode, so big it's been split into two shows. For this episode, they run down their top 10 video games of 2019. Aadil's beers come from Whiplash and Cloudwater. Lucy has a Brew By Numbers and a beer from Track. Ben starts with Northern Monk then moves to a new brewery, Frau Gruber.

It's a very rare episode this week as Ben is all alone. He chats about growing up with PlayStation and what he'd like to see from the upcoming PS5 on the PlayStation's 25th anniversary. Of course, he has a beer and drinks Geeked Up from Gamma Brewing Co.

This week ben and Lucy delve into the games that they've been playing. Lucy has spent time with some smaller experiences, playing My Brother Rabbit and the Apple Arcade games Assemble With Care and Tangle Tower. She has also started Control which Ben is deep into. Should it be a game of the year contender? A brief tangent makes it feel like Aadil is present as they discuss Amiibo instead of saying bye for the week. Ben has his big boy pants on this week and drinks 'Dancing in the Mooblight' from Northern Monk x Wylam then the 'I Can't Get No Sleep' from Heist brew co.

Ben, Aadil and ghost Lucy get together to run down some of the weeks' big news and discuss the games they've been playing. Aadil doesn't talk about Blacksad but does bring up Pokemon Sword and Shield shutting down other tech, inevitably Google Stadia is then brought up. Ben has initial thoughts on the recently released Narcos: Rise of the Cartels and Lucy has finished Untitled Goose game, Eastshade and Luigi's Mansion 3. Finally, are The Game Awards silly? Only Aadil could adult this week and drinks Toast's session IPA and Mojo from Robinsons Brewery.

It's a duo cast again this week as Ben and Aadil discuss Ben's time with Sparklite, fomo around Death Stranding and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and a big rundown of Google Stadia's launch line up. They drink the craft lager from Toast, Velocity from Saltaire Brewery, Beardo IPA from Robinson Brewery and Õllenaut's Suitsu Porter.

Ben and Aadil are joined this week by technical issues, a slight future echo from Aadil's audio. They chat about an update on the Blizzard situation, Telltale's The Walking Dead Final Season and Steam's new library layout. Aadil's beers are Origin from Northern Monk and Jule Maelk from To Øl. Ben has A Baltic Porter from Sori Brewing and Papa's Vanilla Stout from Pyynikin Brewing Co.

This week Aadil does a live on-air unpackaging for The Outer Wilds, a game he hasn't played yet. We all chat LoZ Link's Awakening and Breath of the Wild, converse about the state of Breakpoint and Ubisoft and chat around having a unified account for all platforms. Ben loves Concrete Genie and Lucy has dipped into both Creature in the Well and Eastshade. For the beers, Ben drinks $umo from Mad Squirrel and Aadil has a Juicy 4am from One Mile End.

This week Lucy has more Apple Arcade games to discuss focusing on Stela. Ben briefly mentions Concrete Genie and how much he likes it and to finish Aadil brings up everyone's topic of the week Blizzard's response to political messages about Hong Kong and China. The beers drank by Ben and Aadil this week come from Odyssey Brew Co, Bullhouse Brew Co, Abbeydale Brewery and Biere Du Lac.

There's a lot packed in this week. Ben chats around his review for Neo Cab but has mostly been playing Nintendo's new mobile offering Mario Kart Tour. Lucy finished Gears of War 5 and has been enjoying the new offerings included in the Apple Arcade subscription including Sayonara Wild Hearts and What the Golf. Finally, Aadil brings up his and Ben's attempt to play MLB The Show 19, digital baseball may not be for them. There are plenty of beers too with Lucy drinking the Beavertown and Borderlands promo beer 'Bandit Brew' followed up by 'Double Triangles' from Garage. Aadil skips of the pond for Half Acre's 'Deep Space' and comes back for 'Ain't Much Happening In the West Midlands'. Ben has two from Northern Monk starting with 'It's Great Up North' and then 'Newer World IPA'. There's also a tiny bit of singing trying to remember this

Ben and Aadil get together to discuss the visual novel recently released by KFC, 'I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator'. This spurs on a conversation around Visual novels, games such as Hatoful Boyfriend, and the developer's other titles. Ben then brings up Arkham Knight again and they discuss games getting a second chance through subscription services. This week Aadil drinks Thornbridge's 'Market Porter' and Magic Rock's 'Surreal Arts' whilst Ben sticks with one beer, the 'Brugse Zot' from Brouwerij De Halve Maan

This week its a bad goose week as Ben, Lucy and Aadil discuss the Untitled Goose Game dominating everyone's playtime this week. Lucy has also played a little of Gears of War 5 and finished both Link's Awakening and Wilmot's Warehouse. Aadil finishes out the episode with a discussion on the Frogwares Vs Focus Home Interactive news about the transfer of game IDs on storefronts and publishing rights. 5 different breweries beers feature this week. Ben and Lucy get together for a quick episode this week to chat about Ben's time with The Sojourn, a new first-person puzzle game. The beers this week are 'Just A Glimmer' from Deya for Lucy and Polly's Brew Co 'It Takes A Little Time' for Ben.

This week Aadil's been playing The Church in the Darkness, Ben cries about Remote Play and the future of streaming and Lucy chats Puzzle Agent and Yoshi's Island. Beers this week for Ben were from Verdant Brewing Co and a North Brewing Co X Brouwerij Kees collaboration whilst Lucy drinks Pamona Island Recordings and Magic Rock.

This week our heroes return to the question, what could you do to make beer more approachable. Ben's annoyed at the rain in Batman Arkham Knight, Lucy kicks off the Mobile games corner talking Agent A, Cosmic Express and Inbento and finally Aadil the Nintendo Direct and Overwatch coming to the Switch. The beers this week are from Half Acre, Cloudwater, Wild Card and a Vocation X Magic Rock collaboration.

This week we discuss Bird of Passage and the excellence of itch.io, mention Celeste and Inside which have just become free on the Epic Games Store and go in-depth on Telling Lies the new FMV game from Sam Barlow. Both Ben and Aadil have a couple of beers this week. Aadil's come from Stewart Brewing and a Cloudwater x Creature Comforts collab whilst Ben has two supermarket collabs from Brewdog x Cloudwater and Fourpure x Mothership.

No, It's not a Star Wars week. Things have just worked this way for a catchy title. Ben and Lucy get together to discuss the games they've been playing over the last week (or two for Lucy). These include Bully, A Short Hike, Moonlighter: Between Dimensions and Solo: Islands of the Heart. As we're a day early the beer is not flowing but Ben had a can he was saving for a wet and rainy night, which it definitely was when recording. Ben chats a few of the games he is flitting between and Issac talks Spider-Man for PS4 and PS2 and the Tetris style puzzler 2048 Blocks.
