Clark and Charles go to San Francisco, where Clark is hired by Emperor Norton to stop a acquatic monster rampaging through the city's dock. But there's more to the sea monster than meets the eye.

Clark visits Virginia City to shut down a gang of vampires, only to encouter a devout temperance worker who will make his job much more difficult.

Clark and Charles head to California, where Clark is hired to fight in a range war between a powerful American ranch and a small Mexican rancho. But when Clark discovers that the rancher has hired his old foe, the Satanic gunslinger known as Brimstone Brown, he realizes that the old, cursed Mission known as San Diablo may have something to do with the range war.

When a mysterious, otherworldly flying ship crashes in the outskirts of Roswell, New Mexico, circus showman P.T. Barnum hires several bounty hunters, including Clark Reeper, to bring back whatever's inside. But they aren't the only ones on the trail. Clark will find himself battling with aliens, circus freaks, and men dressed like undertakers on the treacherous road to Roswell.

In the first story, Clark follows the trail of an outlaw automaton to the town of Dead Man's Gulch. He'll encounter the walking dead, Lakota magic, and boy who will become his adopted son.
