Anywhere But Here

It's the end of an era and so on brand. Rather than wait until a big round number, or until our 10th anniversary in January, this is the last episode of the Anywhere But Here podcast. Ant and Tom explain all the reasons that have gone into this decision on the episode, but rest-assured that this is by mutual consent and is a decision that came about quickly and with no bad blood. In fact, this is a decision that will probably make our friendship better. On our way out of the door we talk about all the movies and TV we've been watching in the last few month, just like normal, so it's not all bad news! We've had a blast over the last nine and a half years and we sincerely thank each and every person that has listened, befriended us, sent us messages and especially become Supporters or Patreons. Tom has been a very busy boy recently, playing rock-star with Sham69 and being an absolute workhorse with his writing so, in this episode, Ant is joined by Eric, a work colleague of his, to talk messed up science experiments and general geekery. San Diego Comic-Con happened recently so they discuss some of the news that came out of there, including Marvel's huge panel where they basically laid out the whole of Phase 5 of their cinematic universe. Ant and Tom are back for the first time since the beginning of the year and have a lot to discuss, especially the viewing they've done over the holiday period. Tom has played his first gig in 2022 but was at the end of a particularly bad day and was made worse by the organisation of it regarding safety. Ant received his diagnosis of ADHD and we discuss what the future might look like for him. Finally, we get on to the shambles that is the UK government who, seemingly can't avoid a party, or a gathering, or a work meeting with booze and cheese, and what the possible repercussions should be.
