Singer-songwriter d4vd, David Anthony Burke, in court today on charges including first-degree murder in the death of teen Celeste Rivas Hernandez.  He pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, murder for financial gain, and murder of a witness to an investigation. Prosecutors allege he killed Celeste to prevent her from exposing their sexual relationship, in turn ruining his musical career.  Celeste's autopsy revealed a gruesome death from multiple stab wounds, in her torso. Her body was subsequently dismembered. Her skull was partially skeletonized and an eye was missing. Two fingers were also gone. During a court hearing today, prosecutors revealed  a "significant amount" of child pornography was found on Burke's phone.   D4vd has been denied bail and is now being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. This is the same facility housing Nick Reiner.  D4vd's legal team says "actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez".&

Accused killer D4vd is now being kept away from other inmates in the L.A. County Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles, California due to his high-profile status and for his own safety. He was transferred to the jail  April 20, 2026, after being charged with  first-degree murder in the death of  teen Celeste Rivas.  He is reportedly alone in his cell with limited movement, no access to a TV, and no visitor privileges at this stage. Singer/TikTok star d4vd (David Anthony Burke) arrested on suspicion of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, makes his first court appearance.   He is being held without bail. Celeste's body was discovered of the teen's body in a Tesla registered to him last September.  According to LA prosecutors, the alleged motive for the murder was to silence her and protect D4vd's music career.  Prosecutors allege that Burke was engaging in a sexual relationship with the teenager and killed her when she threatened to expose his conduct.  Attorneys for Burke declare his innocence. The U.S. Coast Guard opened a criminal investigation into the disappears of Michigan woman Lynette Hooker. The 55-year-old went missing while boating in the Bahamas. Police say Lynette and husband Brian Hooker were using an 8‑foot dinghy to travel from Hope Town to their yacht, Soulmate, moored near Elbow Cay in the Abaco Islands. Husband Brian says around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Lynette fell overboard, along with the boat’s engine key, which caused the motor to stop. He says strong currents carried her away, but he saw her swimming toward shore before losing sight of her. Brian reportedly paddled the boat to Marsh Harbour and contacted police around 4 a.m. Bahamian police initially arrested Brian Hooker for further questioning, citing “probable cause,” although he was not charged. His attorney stated that he “categorically denies any wrongdoing” and is cooperating.  Lynette’s daughter, Karli Aylesworth, says her step-father's story “doesn’t add up”

Christmas Eve, 2021,  Ariana Ptarcinski, 1, is in her room with her boyfriend. As the evening unfolds, Ramon Durst, 20, pulls then teen out of her room holding her neck from which she is bleeding profusely, a knife wound to her neck. It is fatal.  According to a Hernando County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies responded to a call from neighbor Thomas and Melissa LoBianco who reported hearing screams.  Police reports state that Durst kept repeating ‘ I really (screwed) up, shoot me because I’m going to jail for a long time.’“  He can be seen in police footage making similar comments.   Ariana’s 12-year-old sister told deputies arguing work her up.    Ariana’s autopsy report show she was murdered. Luigi Mangione, 27, facing dual prosecutions in state and federal court. His defense attorneys tells judges their concerns about preparing for two trials simultaneously, asking for the federal trial day to be moved to January 2027.  The defense received some concessions from the judges.  US District Judge Margaret Garnett would not push the date into the new year , but pushed back the federal jury selection process to the Fall.   New York State Judge Gregory Carro issued  an order saying the state trial would start on September 8. Joseph Duggar, 31, one of the stars of  “19 Kids and Counting” has pleaded not guilty to molesting a 9-year-old girl in Florida. He posted a $600,000 bond and is barred from contact with anyone younger than 18.  The accusations follow allegations made against of brother Josh Duggar, of “19 Kids and Counting.” He was arrested by federal agents on child pornography charges. He's now serving a 12.5-year federal prison sentence, followed by 20 years of supervised release after his conviction of two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography (specifically child sexual abuse material). 6-year-old Joseph "Jo-Jo" King III dies under suspicious circumstances. His stepfather, Brandon Hale, claims Jo-Jo accidentally suffocated inside a toy chest, but investigations revealed inconsistencies in this story. Brandon Hale calls 911 to report that he found Jo-Jo unconscious in a toy chest after waking up from a nap.  Jo-Jo was hospitalized with oxygen deprivation then days later  An autopsy later amended the cause of death to reflect "concern for possible homicidal drowning" because the toy chest was not airtight, and parts of the scene were wet. First responders and investigators noted the toy chest was dry and partially filled with toys, while Jo-Jo's clothes were damp and a wet towel was found nearby.  Hale was previously convicted of abusing Jo-Jo with a belt in 2019, and sentenced to 10 years in prison for violating probation related to the case. Britney Spears checked herself  into an out-of-state treatment facility following a DUI arrest in California. This after encouragement from her sons,Sean Preston and Jayden James.  Spears was taken into custody, handcuffed, booked and released. This is what's typically known as "cite and release"  Instead of being remainin in detention, the individual receives a written notice to appear in court on a specified date. Brian Hooker, husband of the Michigan woman who went missing in the Bahamas, says he will be staying in the country to search for his wife.  Hooker was held in jail for 5 days, but has now been released. His attorney says Hooker is free to leave any time he wishes. Brian Hooker has repeatedly said he would never hurt his wife, Lynette.
