With so many voices competing for our attention, it’s easy to feel like we’re being pulled in different directions. In today’s HTB Bitesize, Stephen Foster shares from Ezekiel 11 and encourages us with God’s promise to give His people an ‘undivided heart’ and ‘put a new spirit in them’ (v.18).

She explores how Jesus challenges our perception of glory, and encourages us to pray to see God’s glory in the ordinary moments of life, wherever we are today.

Find out in today’s HTB Bitesize, where Pete Wynter explores what it means to live out our faith and pursue Jesus in our daily lives. 2 Timothy 2:5 ‘Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.'

How do you feel when you think about God’s commands? Sometimes we can find ourselves feeling insecure, and worried that we won't live up to the standard God sets. Annie Magee reflects on how prayer can help us relate to God and His commands, and shares her own story of asking God for understanding. She challenges us to invite God into our lives by praying the humble prayer we find in Psalm 119:73. 'Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.' (Psalm 119:73)

Nicky Gumbel shares an inspiring message on ‘How to make the most of the next 6 months’ and on how to “bloom where you’re planted” during this challenging season. Nicky explored the meaning and context of Jeremiah 29:11, reflecting on how we can apply this verse to our lives in the coming months. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Focusing on 1 Timothy, today Ryan Rodrigues explores the relationship between Paul and Timothy. A great example of “iron sharpening iron” (Proverbs 27:17), Paul was a spiritual mentor to Timothy. Ryan shares his experience of intentionally seeking out mentor figures, and reflects on the importance of surrounding ourselves with Godly wisdom. Do you have a spiritual mentor, or perhaps you are a mentor yourself?

Whatever happens to us, to our finances, to our relationships, to our health, nothing can rob us of the purpose of a life with Jesus. St Paul writes in Philippians 13 - ‘One thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on, towards the goal to win the prize, to which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Right now in the world that is battling a global pandemic and change, it can feel like we’re unable to complete things or plan for things. But in today’s Bitesize, Pete Wynter reads Philippians 1:6 ‘Being confident of this, He who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus’.
