We’re jumping right into a brand new teaching series called, The Way. Throughout the next year, we are focusing on spiritual habits that form us. In this series, we are honing in on the topic of generosity. This week we are specifically looking at the generosity of God along with His nature and character that is on display all throughout the bible.The character of God is generous, but too often we don’t slow down long enough to see it. This week, through thanksgiving and gratitude, we begin to see an avenue in which we can begin to catch the generous nature of God. Today we had the opportunity to share in the celebration of baptism with one another. In part with the life given to us anew in Christ, we get to hear a special teaching from guest speaker, Bob Hoyt. Bob talks to us about the subject of our story. We have our own storyline within the much grander narrative of God. Can you believe that we are already in our 4th week of ‘Castles of Sand’? We have loved this practical series, helping us to find rhythms to stand on as we build a solid foundation in 2021. This week we discuss the topic of forgiveness. In Matthew 6:12 we see that there is a daily happening of seeking forgiveness of our debts, as we forgive our debaters. Within that happening, there is a releasing of debts from both us and God.This week we are challenged to constructively pursue forgiveness in your soul for someone who has wronged you. As we step into week 3 of our current series, "Castles of Sand'', Pastor John talks about the habit of hearing. We are in our second week of Castles of Sand, and we are diving into the rhythm of prayer. Prayer is the medium that carries us to experience God, taking all of who we are as we step into connection with God in a fresh way. We are starting the new year with a brand new series, 'Castles of Sand'. This series is all about the rhythms to stand on. Week four of A Reason For Hope focuses on the topic of Peace.As a peacemaker, you have been given the raw materials to make something new. Because of our hope in Jesus, you can go and make peace by sowing and cultivating peace in your life.What about the moments where peace feels miles away and everything in your life feels like it's in turmoil and chaos? Today we see that, while you're longing for change and peace in your circumstances, "peace isn't the absence of something. It's the presence of someone". In week two of our Advent series, A Reason For Hope, we lean into the period of waiting that took place while anticipating the arrival of Jesus. This week we launch our new series, "A Reason For Hope". In this series, we focus on the season of advent; looking both behind us and in front of us with anticipation of the arrival of Jesus. In this season, we have a reason for the hope that we have.Today we are focusing on having gratitude in the present and hope for the future because of the truth from the past. Watch today's teaching to hear about the ways that both gratitude and thanksgiving through prayer can help us in this season of advent and preparation.

In a culture that is surrounded by noise, we are invited to make it our ambition to lead a quiet soul, which is the result of a quiet life. How is it that we are to enter into a tranquil, calm, quiet life? That is exactly what Pastor Ron talks about in his teaching titled, "A Quiet Life".In this season of life, it's easy to find ourselves busy and distracted from the things that God has placed before us. This week we identify the reason why God has called us to live a life void of busyness and the ways that we can stay on the path that has been placed before us. We are greatly encouraged today as we face our fears and run towards them, knowing that God is with us and that God is for us. Today Pastor John walks us through the character and nature of God. As we read about who God says that he is, we can better understand the God who is walking with us, even as we face our fears.Because of the character of God and because he is the foundation of our faith, we can confidently walk forward knowing that God by our side. This is the God that you can run towards your fears with. 

In today's message, we turn our focus towards recognizing our sin and creating a space to allow for intentional time with God. Pastor John dives into the book of Exodus to walk through the life of Moses. We find that even when he was deep into the wilderness, God showed up and God found him right where he was at, despite the battles that he has faced or the bondages he was enslaved to. To hear more about how you can find the presence of God where you're at and to be intentional in your time with him, check out this week's message. 

In today's teaching we ask the question, "If we were to take our cues from Jesus, then how would we disciple someone else?". This is exactly what Pastor Ron discusses as he wraps up our current teaching series, The Way of the Apprentice. We are challenged and inspired by this timely and practical message that walks us through John 13 & John 14. As we analyze the actions and words of Jesus, we see ways that we can be imitators of Christ and how we can disciple others around us. Pastor Ron then opened a conversation around what his steps following Jesus are looking like right now and going forward. Pastor Mike also shared about how God is stirring him toward stepping out in obedience. Our time together today was huge in the life of our church. In the second to last week of the series, The Ways of the Apprentice, Pastor John leads us through a conversation that addresses our inclination of viewing people through a lense that chategorizes us from them. We begin to transition our mindset from having a divided mentality to seeing the humanity in people the way that God sees the humanity in people. We are challenged this week to set our heart on things above and to gain a heavenly perspective. In doing so, we begin to change our mindset from viewing people as being against us to being collectively for God. "One of the core essential things about being disciples of Jesus is that they GO they make other disciples".We have made it to week seven of the series, The Ways of the Apprentice, and we are LOVING this series. We've spent the last six weeks discussing different perspectives of being an apprentice of Jesus and now it's time to help others be discipled within their relation with Christ. Pastor Ron discusses 3 practical ways that we can be makers of disciples. In these steps we see the importance of sharing the truth and hope of Jesus to those around us in our everyday lives.
