Don’t miss out on a great message from Pastor John as he shares with us how the perspective you have of God will shape and determine the prayers that you pray. The good news today is that we serve a God who hears our prayers and who isn’t limited by our prayers or views of his vastness. 

We're entering into the second week of our 21 days of Prayer & Fasting. This week we have a special emphasis on prayers of intercession.Through the person of Jesus we are able to have unlimited access to our creator and we believe that being in communion with God is something we can celebrate and share. It is through prayers of intercession that we are able to bring the people we know to the God we love, surrendering them to the loving care of our Lord and Savior.

If you're like the rest of us, oftentimes it can be difficult to rejoice always and to give thanks. It might feel like there isn't much of anything to be thankful for.When you approach God with a posture of thanksgiving, you surrender your own needs and see the character of God; a loving, caring and gracious Savior. By creating a foundation of thanksgiving, you open the door of opportunity to see God with an entirely new perspective. You will see that even here, amidst your circumstance, you can rejoice. Even here, the Lord is good.

We began our new teaching series on Prayer & Fasting and we can't wait for what's to come. If you’ve ever wondered about the purpose and practice of prayer and fasting, this week’s message is for you! Starting NEXT MONDAY we are stepping into 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting as the Heights family. Before then, we wanted to begin this time with a week of intentionality. Our hope is that you take this time to review your own motivations and understanding on prayer & fasting.

This weekend we dove into the sixth week of our current series, What If. What if we are missing the point when it comes to spending eternity with Christ? Oftentimes we make eternity about a destination; a place of arrival. Instead, It’s about knowing Jesus and letting that relationship overflow into every area of your life.As we go into this next week and step into new areas and spaces, we pray that you’re empowered to experience and know the father in everything you do.

Too often we get so focused on what’s happening in our own lives that we miss what’s going on in the world around us. today we have the opportunity to slow down and catch the heart of Jesus for the lost.If you didn't have the chance to hang out with us this weekend, make sure to check out our conversation about being on mission, focusing on the world around us, and seeing the lost who need Jesus. “Justice, mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.” – Matthew 23:23What if Jesus really meant that the way you carry out matters like justice, mercy, and faith really are what’s most important? This weekend we stepped into our third week of What If, where (you might have gathered) we had a conversation on justice. As disciples of Jesus, He calls us to nurture both our personal holiness with Christ and also our heart for greater compassion and justice.TAKE A MOMENT TO ASK...1* Where is God asking you to seek justice, mercy, and faithfulness in your own life?2* Where have you been practicing your own personal holiness, but have overlooked practicing justice, mercy, and faith with the people God has called you to?

This weekend we heard a powerful message from Pastor John on being the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Jesus calls us to be a visible representation of Christ to the people in our life. As you step into the spaces that you encompass this week, how can you add the flavor and illumination of Jesus to those around you? Take a listen to our talk from this past weekend and join us in exploring what this means for us and how it shapes each of our lives. 

This weekend we dove into week one of our collection of talks surrounding what-if questions. This week we started out by jumping into the sermon on the mount where we look at what it means when Jesus talks about blessings. To understand the word blessed is to understand the divine announcement that God is with you and God is on your side. Make sure to watch back to hear more about how you can look for where He is found and how you can move towards that

This week we are reframing our perspective to change our interpretation of the picture that is 2022. Whatever this year brings you, we hope that you can shift your outlook to see the gratitude that is produced by the circumstances that you will face. No matter the moment you find yourself in, there is purpose to be found in every moment of every day.

This weekend we got to lean in together, pause for a moment, and fix our gaze toward being intentional with all that Jesus has intended for us in this new year. We are getting well in 2022 and taking ground in our journey as followers of Jesus.This week we encourage you to set aside at least 10 minutes and take a moment to fix your gaze upon the grace given to you through Jesus. Reflect on the narrative that begins at Christmas with the birth of Jesus and see how there is so much more for you in 2022, in your faith, and in every single moment thereafter.

This weekend Pastor Owen wrapped up our Advent season by talking to us about the peace that accompanies the arrival of our Savior.No matter the season we're in, it's easy to get overwhelmed by the chaos that lives all around us. This Christmas season is a great reminder that our peace isn't based on the outcome of our situation but it's based on the good news that has been given to us. 

The season of Advent is all about the anticipation for what is to come and let's be honest... There is something great coming this Christmas!In the arrival of our Savior, there is freedom to be found as we grasp that Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission for humanity. As we shift our perspective towards the birth of our Savior and the freedom found within, we find a new motivation to care for the needs of those within our community.How does this shape the way you step into today?What would it look like if we were motivated by service?

This weekend we got to hear a timely message from Pastor Todd on having true joy, even when things aren't always joy-filled.
