That's pretty much the situation today.  With the recent exception of Maureen Dowd's scathing critique of Obama's convention acceptance speech ("My fellow citizens, you were the change...We were the change?"), there hasn't been much media criticism of the president.  Liberal commentators continue to gloss over the mistakes of the most partisan and inept administration in our history.   

Americans are facing the most important decision in our nation's history: do we want to continue along the path of socialism and ruin, or return to the vision of our founding fathers?  Whom do we trust to lead us, Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?

President Obama and Mitt Romney face each other onstage for the last time on Monday evening, when they meet at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., for their third televised debate. The importance of the occasion cannot be overstated. With the presidential race balanced on a knife-edge, this will be the last big set-piece of the campaign. Never again will either man have the chance to reach an audience anywhere close to the likely viewership of around 60 million people. Friends and Enemies The Great Devider/ Distroyer It is impossible to be the leader of any large enterprise and not alienate someone, but Barack Obama has managed to alienate virtually everyone who has had anything to do with him. Who has Barack Hussein Obama not alienated in the last four years?  

"Did they come in and inherit a tough situation?  Absolutely."  This from Paul Ryan, in the worst moment of the VP debate. Barack Obama is going to lose in a blow-out, and the debates have certainly padded that margin.  Having said that, both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan left "some easy money on the table" through the first two debates that they now need to collect.

Obama got his bell rung hard during their first debate in Denver — and he knows that another defeat could be devastating. “It’s as important as a Game 7 in the World Series even though there’s a third debate,” Democratic strategist Chris Lehane said. “The pressure will be on the President to step up to the plate and deliver.”  

Four years ago, our media overlords assured us that President Empty Chair was really Candidate Empty Pew -- a parishioner who sat for 20 years in Reverend Jeremiah Wright's nutty, hate-mongering church and never heard a single word. "God bless America?  No, no, no!  God d*mn America!" thundered Reverend Wright, and just in case you missed the delicate subtleties of his Black Liberation Theology, he helpfully noted that 9/11 was "America's chickens" "coming home to roost."

Put yourself at one of the initial meetings between Mitt Romney and his advisers prior to preparing for the debates.  At some point during the discussion, a member of his staff may have said, "How do you debate a fairytale, a myth, a fiction, a make-believe person created by the media...and Obama himself?" Another member may have raised a similar concern with the query, "Even if we win, how do we deal with a media that will trumpet Obama as the true victor?  Because they not only created the fantasy; they have diligently protected it for almost four years."

What happens to a person with severe narcissistic personality disorder when he gets his rear end handed to him after an embarrassing debate drubbing?  He gets bozo-ballistic wee-wee'd up about it! The situation was so tense after the presidential debate in Denver that the larger of the Obama team, Michelle, placed her body between Obama and a surprised Romney -- and glared at the Republican, daring him to step out from behind the podium and lay one more word on her metrosexual man  

LETS TALK ABOUT IT “Romney was able to ‘out-Obama’ Obama. On the connection piece, on the authenticity piece, on the being able to tell the story.” Several other Democratic pundits, including James Carville, Andrew Sullivan and Michael Moore, believed that Romney won Wednesday’s debate. A CNN poll found that 67 percent believe Romney won the debate, compared to only 25 percent for Obama.

Obama attended only 43.8 percent of his PDBs (presidential daily briefings) between January 23, 2009 (three days after his inauguration), and May 31, 2012. Obama skipped his PDBs between September 5 and 11, the entire week before the American consulate in Benghazi suffered an Islamic terror attack that killed U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, technical officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. Obama this week met with exactly zero world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly. Obama has shirked his domestic obligations, too. He reportedly has held just two Cabinet meetings this year — on January 31 and July 26. While claiming to be totally focused on reducing naggingly high unemployment, Obama has not met with his Jobs Council since January. When asked for a comment BO said, "With so many citizens not working, why should I?"

With a nation still at war and facing the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, one would think President Barack Obama would be “focused like a laser” on America's national security and economic rebuilding.

The upcoming election, despite the best efforts of the Obama campaign, the mainstream media, and various polling firms, is going to revolve around two questions: are you better off than you were four ago, and what is the future going to be if Barack Obama is re-elected?  The Obama team is attempting to finesse the first question by obfuscating the second.  They claim that their policies have begun to work, and, given a second term, life would redeem the promises Obama made in 2008.
