We’ve been long time fans of Christopher Rau. From swingy funky rhythms, to melodic piano samples, to locked-in 4 on the floor, he is a specialist whose music style speaks to us on many levels. I had the great pleasure to play with Budino at Berlin's most hated club, Renata, for the appropriately named party Pretty/Ugly. This mix is as sweet and creamy as the Italian desert she is named after. Budino is also from Italy but she is now based in Berlin and helps run a party and record label named Oscillator. Acid Camp gives a warm welcome to Shingo Suwa. After making the long trek to Berlin from Tokyo he's found a comfortable home in the city's techno scene as a producer and dj. In 2008 he founded the label Merkur Schallplatten, which will release a new Suwa EP this year and will be followed up by his debut on Acid Camp Records. Today we have a live recording from his set from Buttons, which he holds a residency at, highlighting his passion for bounding, rhythmic techno.
