We all have a body right? Right. But how connected are we to that body even though it is the thing that allows us to breathe, and hopefully do many other things as well such as eat, move, hug and more? You would think we would be very connected but often due to things such as trauma, pain and avoidance, we are disconnected from our bodies and not appreciative for all they do for us. This in turn impacts our spiritual journeys and development, as our guest on The Priestess Podcast today Hinetera Marino shares with us. Hinetera explains what true embodiment really is and how we can engage in simple but powerful practices to truly ground ourselves in the divine homes that house our hearts and souls.

People pleasing is a diss-ease that impacts the lives of so many people, particularly in my experience those who identify as women. We place the needs of other people - even those we don’t love or even know - way ahead of our own. We are often more worried about what others think of us than we are ourselves. If you are blessed, every now and again you get to have a conversation with someone that impacts you at a soul level. I knew this was going to be the case with my guest today, Shanda Catrice, before I even pressed record for our interview where we talk all about your love style. Shanda had a calm presence and deep way of interacting that made me instantly know she knew her stuff. Shanda has been helping women and men with relationships with others and themselves for more than ten years and it’s very obvious she’s brilliant at it. My conversation with her - in just 30 minutes - changed how I see love. And helped me - as I am sure it will you - understand how we relate to others has so much to do with our childhood patterns and what we may need to look at in our shadow to truly experience love in a whole and healed way.

Tara Bliss, my guest on The Priestess Podcast today, believes that the ultimate form of spiritual rebellion is being ourselves. And choosing to be ourselves over and over again every day. This may sound easy, but we all live in a world where constructs and systemic oppressions try and mould us to be something we are not - in so many ways. Choosing to go against the grain, leave something behind, outgrow someone - including a spiritual guide or teacher - is not easy. It requires a bold and rebellious spirit driven by curiosity, and fuelled by discernment and sovereignty. Tara shares with us today her life and spiritual journey of conscious rebellion and how important it is to her and her mentoring work today.

The work of Dr Sharon Blackie has been profound in my spiritual journey. In other more simplistic terms - I’m a fan girl - and this episode today is probably going to show that to you quite quickly. Sharon’s work as a Celtic mythologist and author is lyrical, powerful, beautiful and strong. In particular her work has supported me on my own priestess and spiritual journey to feel more deeply into my own cultural background and ancestry as a woman of chiefly Scottish, Irish, Welsh and English make up. It is a dream come true for me to have her as a guest on The Priestess Podcast and I am overjoyed she is our first guest for this new season. Welcome to 2019!

I think by now it’s a reasonable thing to say that we are all aware of the practical things we need to do to take better care of this beautiful planet - the Mother Earth Goddess we live on.  Recycling, reducing waste, saving water, eating locally and seasonally and so much more.   What we may not necessarily know a great deal about however is the role that we can play in healing the earth metaphysically and spiritually and even what a commitment to our own personal health has to do with that work as well. My incredible guest on the Priestess Podcast today Dr Mahdi Mason is a passionate environmental consultant and is here to share with us today ways we can metaphysically heal the planet in ways that don’t just reduce our harm but can in fact reverse them.

Have you ever had a memory of a past life? I want to be honest with you and share that I THINK I have - but truth be told am not really sure.  It’s an area for me that I’ve never really given deep thought to however I have now come into contact with many people for whom it is a significant part of their spiritual journey and who they consciously believe themselves to be today.   Andrea Lewis has had many past life memories and experiences and she shares those with us on today’s Priestess Podcast episode AND how you can know if dreams, thoughts, feelings or experiences you have had may be just a memory of yourself from a past life too.

One of the things that I love most about my spiritual practice is having an altar.  It is a special place for me to express my creativity, connect with my inner world and deepen my relationship with the Divine, Goddess and Universal spirit.  And yes, besides all that it’s simply a beautiful space that for me is most often filled with candles, flowers, crystals, oracle cards and treasured possessions that ignite my soul.   My special guest on The Priestess Podcast today is Rachel Ross and Rachel if it’s even possible has a deeper love of altars than even I do. Is there anything more important for a woman in life than to own and stand in her power and use that to create a life that is sovereign, strong and in service?  My amazing guest today on The Priestess Podcast, Kemi Nekvapil, would likely say there isn’t because so much of our joy and conscious achievements in life stem directly from our relationship with power and how willing we are to claim it for ourselves. I’m very happy to admit to you that I am a bonafide fan girl of my guest on The Priestess Podcast today - Sera Beak.  Sera is an extraordinary religious scholar, author and speaker whose work in the world I feel has just begun. Sometimes when you’re doing something live things don’t quite go to plan - or - do they? My brilliant and truly inspirational guest today Dr Danielle Arabena comes from a long line of indigenous people who honour the gift of life through story-telling and our interview today has in fact turned out to be more of a story and sharing of Danielle’s life and gifts as an indigenous doctor, healer, witch and blood priestess. Her story is one that has lessons and guidance in it for all of us.  It’s one to tune into with your whole heart for the messages it contains within that are especially for you.

The beauty industry that targets women in deliberate ways to make them feel bad, unattractive, less than they truly are and small, is a patriarchal oppressive construct that needs a total shake down.  There! I said it. There is a first time for everything and today’s episode is the first time a guest has cried, and I have cried with her, on The Priestess Podcast.  It was a spontaneous and natural response to pain, and expressed pain, and it shines a light on how desperately we need our spiritual communities, work and lives to be more inclusive of black, indigenous and people of colour. My guest today Sonali Fiske helps us to understand that while every one of us likely knows what it feels like at some time to be excluded from something, when that erasure and inclusion stems from the right of each of us to practice and express and lead in our spirituality the way that fits and feels best with our culture and practices, it is beyond painful and damaging.  Sonali’s presence on the podcast today is a spiritual call to action for all of us.

Mary Magdalene was the very last person I ever thought would come to me as a guide in my life. Why I had that thought I am still not really sure but come to me she did while journeying through an intense shamanic experience and I am so blessed to say she is still with me and a large part of my own spiritual counsel. As the host of The Magdalene Voices podcast, Mariaestela shares her special love of Mary and her own thoughts on who Mary the woman was - which are quite different at this point in time in my life - to my own.
