Sometimes our obedience doesn't yield immediate results. There may be times when you know you have followed clear instruction from the Lord, you have sacrificed, been faithful, and God seems to suddenly go silent. This Sunday, we'll see how Paul handled this exact situation, how he reacted, and what God did.

With our final Sunday in our Core Values Series, we will discuss Sharing Jesus Together with a look at Colossians 4:2-6. Does the life we live, the conversations we have, and the heart posture we maintain reflect the salvation by faith we have in Jesus Christ?

As individual followers of Christ, God has given us gifts, talents and callings that he intends for us to put to work to serve the body of Christ. What are these gifts? How can we build up the Church and make disciples of Christ with them? Join us Sunday and see how important your individual gifting and calling truly is!

Continuing our Core Values Series, we look at why God created for us to live in community together. God envisioned that the church would be "devoted to one another." We will look at how a church community can accomplish that, and why it's so critical for believers to forge relationships with each other.

We begin our Core Values Series, charting the course through scripture to reveal why we do what we do at Wellspring, as well as discover the purpose in why God created this unique community of believers. We'll look at how He accomplishes His will in and through the Church and the compelling significance of His unique presence among us when we gather.

Last week we talked about how to be prepared for Christ's return. This week we will look at a story Christ tells that will demonstrate proof of that readiness, so that when we encounter Christ on the day of the Lord, we will hear Him say "Well done, share your master's happiness." Will you be ready? How does your life show it?

Are you reading the signs? Seems like each day there's a new reason to believe the end is near. But we trust Christ to faithfully keep his promises, and He has shown us ways to be prepared for a day that will arrive like a thief in the night. Are you ready?

A servant is forgiven a massive debt but refuses to show mercy to a fellow servant with a smaller debt. The master condemns the unforgiving servant's lack of compassion, emphasizing the need to forgive as we've been forgiven. Does our compassion reflect the degree to which we've been forgiven?

It's no surprise to God that we would face fear and anxiety, but like always, He provides reassurance and strength to face anything that comes. So what do we do when fear strikes? How do we cast our anxieties onto God and what should we look for from Him?

Clean and unclean are two common terms we see God use throughout the Bible. These terms are used to describe places, animals, objects, and even people. God calls his people to discern what is clean and unclean. But what happens when we get it wrong and mislabel people? The Pharisees in the NT were confident that they were right, but were they? How do we avoid falling into the same trap and being guilty of spreading what the Bible calls “The yeast of the Pharisees?”

"Don't judge me!" Usually heard when someone doesn't want to be embarrassed about some quirk in their personality. Nearly as often, a heart's cry in times of weakness or fear of someone forming a wrong opinion about us. But why does Christ utter these words? Is He really forbidding discernment or using good judgment? Or is this a reminder of His grace?

"God is Love!" It's a mantra repeated by those who claim to know Him, and 1 John 4 tells us it's so in His own words. But what does this mean? Why is it so important that we understand what love truly is? After all, our understanding of what love is will inform our understanding of who Jesus is.

All those who trust Christ as Savior will spend eternity in glory with God. Isn't it enough though to just get to glory? But how do we do that? How do we trade the risky and perishable investments of this world and trade them in for eternal rewards?

in Luke's account of the Gospel, he writes that Christ came to call sinners to repentance. Well, what is repentance? Simply apologizing? Feeling bad about something we did? Or is it something greater? We'll look at what Jesus means by repentance, why it matters, and what we can do about it.

We know that God has promised to never leave us or forsake us. David even pondered, "Where can i go from your presence?" But haven't we all endured times where it seemed like God was ignoring us? When our cries seemed to fall on deaf ears? So how do we endure? How do we set our hearts on God during those exhausting times?

Are you a Christ follower? One of the ways we can tell for sure is how He has changed our lives. Though our decision to follow Him may not result in earthly wealth, power and esteem, it will certainly result in surrender to and complete trust in Him. We'll examine what God calls us out of and what He calls us to when we decide to follow Jesus.

On a day we celebrate fatherhood, it's the perfect Sunday to take a closer look at "how we should pray" as Jesus demonstrates in Matthew 6. The Lord's Prayer demonstrates how God relates to us as His children, how we should see Him, and how prayer invites Him to be Lord of our lives and circumstances. Will we as His children trust in His kindness and declare Him to be King?

As Paul continues to share the gospel in Athens, he encounters an alter inscribed with "TO AN UNKNOWN GOD." Seems silly to not know what or who you are worshiping, doesn't it? But Paul used this situation to share who God is to a people who did not know him. Will we be people bold with the Gospel, and able to share Christ in any circumstance?

There are so many good things we can be doing throughout our lives and with the time we have, but If we are to truly become the people Jesus calls us to be—we MUST be a people who rightly view and consume the Word of God. How we view and engage the Bible makes all the difference!

Why did Jesus have to suffer, die, and rise from the dead? This question is arguably the most important question anyone will ever ask. Why is this so important? There are very real and lasting implications in how we answer. Our responses have a direct affect on our life today, for the rest of our time on earth, and for all of eternity.
