The Matt and Tubes kick the doors in at internal affairs to find out if "The Negotiator" is Crucial.   Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Spacey, and David Morse head up the cast in this 1998 thriller directed by F. Gary Gray. Up next is Terminator 2, our second to last Netflix pick. Tubes has done it again with this romantic-story-plot-movie brought to us by Michael Douglas and Robert Zemeckis. Kathleen Turner (who is just wonderful) plays "Joan Wilder" a romance novelist who gets involved in a hunt to find "El Corazon" a gemstone the size of a baseball. Unfortunately she meets a guy named "Jack" played by Douglas and things go downhill from there. Kathleen tries her best, but she just couldn't quite save this one single handedly.   Also we do a a new Veto segment!   2bs P.S. I adore Kathleen Turner. Watch "War Of The Roses" instead. In that movie she bites Micheal Douglas in the groin and breaks his ribs. It's awesome. 

Hey there folks, it's your old pal Tubes here with some production notes... As a result of my own neurotic desire for the holiday episode lineup, this episode is posting out of recording order. Attentive fans may have already noticed that we mentioned our "Matrix Resurrections" review during our previous episode when we discussed "The Shawshank Redemtion". You may also notice that this episode kicks off with a short talk about new years eve. Or on dvd for about $25. The original miniseries featured the voices of Bryan Cranston and Keifer Sutherland. "Armitage III Dual Matrix" Is the sequel movie to the series. The movie features Juliette Lewis. Watch either one, they are both cool as sh*t.

Hey everybody! This is a big one. A top contender. Top 3, Best, Favorite, Desert Island, Bucket List, Greatest Of All Time, absolutely Crucial. That being said on a personal note... Bob Gunton's best role outside of Shawshank is "Junction Jack" on "Greg The Bunny" Go watch "Greg The Bunny" its great, and "Junction Jack" is my favorite part of it. I can't believe I had an excuse to bring up "Greg The Bunny" during a review of "Shawshank" and missed it. You know... I've missed two major opportunities to bring up "Star Trek" as well ....ugh...   Tubes

The Matt and Tubes go straight off the rails with "Prometheus".   What created us? Who or what are we? What is our purpose? Why are the accents so bad? Why does the cgi look like that? Where is the ALIEN? We tackle all the most important questions in this in depth analysis of a mediocre "Alien" prequel.

I have often judged films by the quality of conversation they create, and this one was a lot of fun. The Matt and Tubes are dead before dawn!   "Evil Dead 2" is widely considered a horror classic most reviewers would count it "Crucial!" and move on, but Matt and Tubes, we go through it point by point until we find out whether or not "Evil Dead 2" and Sam Raimi are Crucial. 

The Matt and Tubes grab their slickers and try not to get hooked on the totally redeemed 1997 slasher "I Know What You Did Last Summer"! You remember it being a lame "Scream" knock-off. With a murder mystery, bodies piling up, and Jennifer Love Hewitt on the case you'll say "Damn that is Crucial!". Also starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, who kicks ass in this movie. Buffy rules.  

The Matt and Tubes get corrupted by "Risky Business"! They chat about the burning issues that the movie sheds light on. Like how to handle a prostitute you didn't order and how to properly administer dog insulin. "Risky Business" stars Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay.

The Matt and Tubes feel the roughness! It's pretty rough! In fact the movie wasn't very good. We dug deep and found a few Crucial points. Best cough drops, college campuses, and Kathy Ireland is granted sainthood by The Matt.  

The latest chapter in Tubes quest to find a decent adventure flick ends in disaster with "Ready Player One". Endless references and product placement cloud the message in this 2018 venture into excess.    

This Classic Crucial has it all! The Matt gives the long awaited update on his car search, and Tubes talks about his vacation. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you will wish we had stopped at the hour mark...

It's "Independence Day", what do you live under a rock? Will Smith is in it... It's Crucial... ok? I'm on vacation, look it up yourself...   Love Tubes
