    We continue our conversations with some of the world class musicians featuring at the 2017 Sydney Guitar Festival. Van Larkins' childhood obsession for sonic manipulation of kitchen utensils fortunately led him to the guitar. Van has become a highly respected proponent of contemporary acoustic playing - signed to the iconic Candyrat Records label - and has built a career through his polyphonic approach. Van is one of the artists featured in the 'Acoustic Uprising' documentary and will be playing a set at the Sydney premier of the film. Fiona Boyes is an Australian blues icon. She has a recording career of over 25 years and regularly tours Australia, the United States and Europe. Fiona came to guitar via a deep love and knowledge of the history and regional influences of the blues. She talks us through her development from acoustic country blues into electric Chicago styles and more, meeting Hubert Sumlin, breaking down doors in the States and her arsenal of instruments. James Norbert Ivanyi has just returned home after after a triumphant European tour promoting his latest EP, Denalavis. Self imposed exile in New York provided the perfect writing environment for Sarah McLeod's latest solo album, Rocky's Diner. Bob was a key member of both Skyhooks and The Angels, two of Australia's most focal rock bands. His lyrical soloing and meaty riffs driving some of the biggest hits from both bands. Keith talks of playing with his heroes - Albert Collins, Mick Taylor and Jack Bruce - and an ill fated run of gigs with an unpredictable Ginger Baker.       When Brett Williams joined Australian rock band The Choirboys in 1987 his timing couldn't have been better. The band was on the cusp of recording "Big, Bad Noise" which went on to be one of the best selling Australian albums of the 1980s. Brett's trademark melodic style helped propel hits such as "Run to Paradise", "Boys Will Be Boys" and "Struggletown" to the top of Australian charts. We talk through Brett's career; starting in Brisbane, his year in LA as a student at GIT, moving to Sydney to join the Choirboys, making iconic video clips in the 80s, vintage Les Pauls and much more.
