At the same time Phil found himself writing and touring with John Farnham and receiving critical acclaim via ARIA and APRA awards. You could be forgiven for thinking Phil's was an overnight success. But as is usually the case, there is a deep backstory revealing a sustained dedication to songcraft and guitar playing.
