MDC.181 Jon and Hugh
20/02/2018 Duración: 01h52minCombining for the latest edition are Melbourne’s Jon Watts and Sydney’s Hugh Burridge (aka Hubert Clarke Jr). Both talented jazz musicians in their own right (Jon a guitarist and Hugh a drummer), the duo share a natural affinity for the jazzier, worldly sounds found across the wider broken beat spectrum. Their debut Another View EP for Hugh’s Outer Time Inner Space label last year presented a brilliantly executed first glimpse into their shared palette of jazz inspired sounds, ranging from saxy liquid drum and bass to groovy percussive deep house. The pair put on another magnificently chilled out display here, jumping between tempos and styles with absolute ease. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

MDC.180 Magda Bytnerowicz
01/02/2018 Duración: 01h52minA two hour journey into the night with one of Sydney's most trusted guides. "I've been trying to find a place for a couple of sequences in here for aaaaages and it's so satisfying when the pieces of the puzzle fit together in a way that tells a cohesive story. The Acid Jesus into Urgent track into Call Super sequence at the end I've had in mind for something like 2 years, DJ Steaw into Tracey Thorn into Leafar Legov I feel is a really nice turn around a corner and finally the 4 track sequence that makes up the intro gives me the warm and fuzzies as well."

MDC.178 Telephones
19/12/2017 Duración: 01h13minSaving the very best till last this year with a heartfelt selection from our favourite Norwegian, the telemetrical vibe master Telephones. "I was actually planning something different, but then decided to play from the heart, follow the mood and vibe I had that day, which always works out best. And since it's a deeeeeepcast, I figured I'd play some deep, emotional and soulful party vibes that mean a lot to me. It's kind of a love letter actually.. summing up my recent times in different ways. It's got quite a few records traded or gifted between friends, so for the intro and two others I wanna give a huge shout out to Roberto in Toronto for selling me those records and serving up a delicious BBQ! Also big shouts to Gary Abugan over there, and shouts to Till at Oldie’s Records in Bern for the Sunday dig from which some are in this mix, and thanks to Jose Padilla for gifting me the Elements Of Life 12" a few years back and to Tristan Jong for the Whispers!"
