On this Simplistic Sit-Down, Fantasia 2021 Edition, Matt sits down with Rob Jabbaz, the director of the new Taiwanese film, "The Sadness," which made it's North American premier at the 2021 Fantasia Film Festival. The film is a blood-splattered feature in a parallel Taiwan where an unknown virus has taken hold of society where there is no quarter from violence and destruction. Rob and Matt chat about what it was like to shoot in Taiwan during the Covid-19 pandemic, how one fateful night during a screening at Fantasia made him want to start making his own films, and much more.
