There is nothing that makes a church more ineffective than worldliness. A church can have the nicest building, the best programs, but it will all be for nothing if the people of the church live no differently from the culture they’re supposed to be reaching.

Jesus tells us, Don’t fear those who can only kill your flesh because I’ve got your soul. I know what you’re going through and I've got this. 

But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.Revelation 2:4-5

Marriage is an institution where you get to put the King on display to the world through Christlike, grace-filled love and intentionality with your spouse.

What are you setting your sights on? The things of earth that fade away, or the things of God?

You might not be able to explain how God will do what he promises, you just need to have faith that he will.

We can't fix sin on our own. Like David, we have to learn that the only way out of sin is repentance. We will never find a shortcut or a back road away from sin.

People with faults are what the Christmas story is all about. Your family of origin is not a mistake. You are not your family and you don't have to make the same errors. Your family is there for a purpose and God will use it in the greater story.

The Christmas story didn't start with a baby in a manger, but with a promise given to a pagan idol worshipper.

Generosity should be seen as a privilege, not a sacrifice. Your blessing, not your duty. God never promised you’d be wealthy, but He promised, if you’re obedient, your life would be rich.

Being a royal priesthood means every Christian is a minister. You serve organically at home to your spouse and kids, at school, and work. When He saved you, the Holy Spirit empowered you with spiritual gifts to use to build up the church. Where are you serving at church?

The Lord's Supper calls us to remember the wrath and grace of God because, on the cross, unbelievable grace collided with incomprehensible wrath

Baptism is not essential for salvation. The real issue isn’t if your body has gone under the water; it’s if your life has come under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Being a Christian means you should be a member of a local church so you can serve the body of Christ, be held accountable, and to grow and become like him as you live in community with the body of Christ.

If we are called to God's task, we need to pray about it first, and then we have to get up, press forward, and do it.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

To fight for the nations, we must be more committed to the commission than our comfort. 

We seek the spiritual welfare of the city by helping people find life. Apart from God there is no life. So the best thing we can do for the welfare of the city is to share the gospel with the city

We must fight the temptation to believe that the goal of parenting is to raise rich, successful, moral kids. Shift your goal from fighting for good kids to fighting for godly kids full of passion for the glory of God.
