Second hour is underway this Saturday and we have Eric Watkins from the University of Minnesota to give us much insight and tips on how to better care for our lawns this summer and we also take any texts and calls as well. Next up we have Chris Hine covering the Minnesota Timberwolves for the Star Tribune, we discuss all things Timberwolves, Ja Morant, and NBA Finals between the Nuggets and Heat.   

With the Nuggets and Heat battling it out this weekend in the NBA Finals it does mark the end nearing for the NBA season but hold the phones, still a lot to take in with Ja Morant news - what will Adam Silver do about that situation after the NBA Finals? and even talk some Timberwolves as well with Chris Hine of the Star Tribune.  

Weather finally warming up these last couple of weeks and we have a lot to unpack with how you can take care of your lawn and yards this summer so we have Eric Watkins, he is the Vice Provost for Distributed Learning and Professor for the Department of Horticulture at the University of Minnesota , he is here to take texts and calls and discuss the topical concerns heading into the summer.  

We catch up with Robert Zimmerman who is a journalist that covers spaceflight and the latest in aerospace news talking about all things SpaceX and their process of successes and failures. We also get into the MNSHSL controversy that made the rounds this week and preview the weekend of sports ahead.

Despite an interesting finish, the Twins pull off a 9-7 victory over the Blue Jays at Target Field. We have the recap for you on this beautiful Saturday. Also, we update scores and schedules as there is a lot going on this weekend in the world of sports, specifically the NHL and NBA with their respective conference finals wrapping up soon. Next up we talk to Jeff Day, who is a multiplatform sports editor for the Star Tribune and his latest piece on volleyball as the sport has created much traction in recent years and especially lately as the boys will be added to the mix in the high school ranks here in Minnesota. We check in with Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press as he heads to Allianz Field for tonight's match against Real Salt Lake and he’ll provide an update on Robin Lod as well. Finally , we went outdoors with Steve Carney. 

Volleyball popularity has spiked in recent years as it has grown as a coveted popular sport among youth programs, more so than recent memory. There's a lot of unknown with the general public on how popular girls volleyball has grown over time. With the addition of boys volleyball into the MSHSL recently and the overall rise in popularity it has gained in the last five years Jeff Day wrote an incredible piece in the Star Tribune talking about youth volleyball, he joins us to give insight on that article and encapsulate all of the different facets that make the sport exciting to attend and watch.   

Its an impeccable day to be at Target Field and we have the pregame before the pregame as we play back some highlights from the Friday night loss to the Blue Jays in what seemed like an away game as many flock from north of the border to see this weekend matchup between the Twins and Blue Jays - we will also take a look around the league and bring you the starting lineups. 

After a banged up few days in Los Angeles the Twins fell to the Angels in the first game of their series last night but there's so much more to dig into with this team - the bullpen, the injuries and more so we talk with Phil Miller of the Star Tribune, he walks us through it all. We also touch on another team with a lot to unpack currently and that is the Loons, Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press to talk through that including the Robin Lod injury and the video from Emmanuel Reynoso. We'll also update you on the NBA with Nuggets-Lakers and Heat-Celtics in full swing. 

Phil Miller covers the Twins for the Star Tribune and he joins us to preview another late night as the Minnesota Twins are out west to face the American League Los Angeles team in the Angels and we dig deep on how the Twins can improve when it comes to their bullpen and fight through some of their injuries suffered against the Dodgers.

We head outdoors with Steve Carney and get the latest on the start to the fishing season in 2023. Also, we break down the expansion teams journey to where they are now as all four teams are relatively newer teams or teams that have been relocated in Carolina, Florida, Dallas and Vegas. Also talk with Jess Myers of The Rink Live to break down the latest Gopher news , most notably Logan Cooley announcing he will  be returning to the Gophers for another season. We also continue to update you on the PGA Championship in Round Three.   

Its a beautiful day out and its May, which means fishing season is in full swing so we are checking in with our outdoor specialist Steve Carney to help guide us through the first week of fishing in 2023 on the waters of Minnesota. 

It is May, so with winter (hopefully) behind us, we talk to Mike Hanson, he is the director of the Office of Traffic Safety with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety talking construction season as the weather warms up, also discussing accidents and tabs as commuting will ramp up the further into summer we get. Then we go from the pavement to space talking with Stephen Clark of SpaceflightNow.com catching up on all things happening in aerospace including Space X busy schedule as of late with the Falcon 9 and an update on the Vulcan launch schedule. We’ll also get you an update as the rain has cleared at Oak Hills for the PGA Championship.  

We were able to chat with Mike Hanson who is the director of the Office of Traffic Safety for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety as this warm weather brings out more drivers heading into summer. 

Its raining outside so we look at what could be with the Twins taking on the Cubs in a matinee on this Saturday. Also catch up with Dave Schwartz recapping the Friday night Stanley Cup playoff action as Toronto loses out to the Florida Panthers.
