 Started off the first of two hours talking pheasant hunting, bowhunting and more with Steve Carney as we head outdoors. Then we recap a disastrous outing from the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in their loss to the Bears and what may lie ahead for Josh Dobbs. Then after that we talk baseball - yes, baseball in December Bobby Nightengale covers the Minnesota Twins for the Star Tribune and he joins to talk about the latest pitching departures and Winter Meetings as well. Finally we catch up with Jess Myers and get his input on a historic night for the Gophers Men’s Hockey program at Penn State from Bryce Brodzinki’s big night to Coach Motzko’s 200th game as  head coach.

There have been a lot of moves for the Minnesota Twins as of late, losing some starting pitching and while it may be winter - we do get to talk baseball with Bobby Nightengale covering the Minnesota Twins for the Star Tribune.

Down the homestretch on a Saturday we talked to  Mike Diggins who led his Centennial Cougars to the 6A State Championship last night in the U.S. Bank Stadium. Then we talked to Chris Hine of the Star Tribune, he covers the Timberwolves and he talks about the In-Season Tournament after the Timberwolves dropped their home game against the Kings last night and are hoping to continue their success and eventually get to Vegas for the final games. Also, we talked to John Shipley of the Pioneer Press about the struggling Minnesota Wild and what its going to take to get things right with their play as of late. Finally, Jonathan Lowe brings us another college football scoreboard update to wrap up this Saturday. 

Had a chance to talk to John Shipley of the Pioneer Press, he covers the Minnesota Wild - he talks about their struggles as of late including losing their return home against Colorado last night. We also look at what General Manager Bill Guerin may do next. 

After the Timberwolves loss to the Kings in their home In-Season Tournament debut, Chris Hine of the Star Tribune joins to look at the scenarios for the tournament ahead of their Tuesday matchup against OKC, where the Wolves sit in the Western Conference as they head to Memphis.

Steve had the chance to talk to Mike Diggins, head coach of the Centennial Cougars fresh off of his Class 6A State Championship in a thrilling 28-27 win over Edina. We get his thoughts on the experience and what the future holds with some of these student athletes.

It is a college football heavy second hour on this Saturday from Division I all the way down to Division III as we talked to Pat Coleman of D3Football.com and got his thoughts on some of the lower divisional games and we talk about Coach Prime and the slow and steady fall from grace their team has experienced amid his first year as coach. Then we talked to the head football coach for Edina Jason Potts on the heels of a big win over Eden Prairie to advance to next weekend's Prep Bowl at US Bank Stadium. With Colorado losing to the Washington State Cougars last night, Steve Thomson alongside producer Josh Wheeler and Jonathan Lowe try to figure out what was the ultimate downfall of those teams throughout the course of the season - we also weigh that with some of the other teams moving to different conferences out of the Pac 12 and how that affects it.
