Say HiAs we work together in IBC for greater achievement in 2016, let us admonish ourselves with these Bible passages to help us do God’s will to please Him who has called us to His work:I Thessalonians 5:14 and following say “And we urge you, brothers admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”Likewise, in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, the word of God says “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? Say HiThe end of one year and the beginning of another is usually an opportunity to look back to what has been and to look forward to what can be. As much as we try not to remember our mistakes and failures and be soaked with guilts and fears, such can help us positively if we can learn a lesson or two that will make us avoid such mistakes.The beginning of another year can bring us new hope as well as new apprehensions. We must, therefore, hold on to the teachings of the Bible that say “Ask and you shall receive, Seek and you shall find and Knock and the door shall be opened unto you” (Matt 7:7).A proud man never asks for anything but the humble man will ask (not as a begger) as one who shows that no man is self-sufficient. To Seek will demand time as well as strength and energy. The best thing to Seek to do in 2016 is to please the LORD. Brethren, life is never totally peaceful, it is an ongoing process. Say HiHOW DO YOU GOOD?1.Do you see God as an authoritative God who is highly judgmental and very engaged in the world, policing offenders in order to pounce on them when they do something wrong?2.Do you see God as a “critical God” who is totally removed from daily events but will render judgment in the afterlife? This might have come from the passage “it is appointed for man once to die after this judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).3.Do you see God as relating to man on a personal relationship, like a friendship, like a companionship who is always there for you when no one else is? Say HiGETTING THE MOST OUT OF CHURCH REVIVALIt is a good assumption to say that every Church member wants to be revived or renewed. But some of us do not prepare ourselves for God’s movement in His Church. As we begin our revival meetings today, here are few tips on how to get the most out of our Church revival:1.Be Broken: No one can truly draw closer to God unless one is truly broken inside. Brokenness simply means that you should accept the fact that you have flaws or weaknesses in your life and you need the Lord to strengthen you. A proud person cannot receive anything good from the Lord because God distastes the proud. But a person with a contrite heart and broken spirit God will not ignore.2.Clear Your Schedule Of Other Commitments: Revivals often start in the evening and may end late into the night. Shut the world off and concentrate on the service. Devote the time of revival to God and cancel any prior or new appointments for that period of revival.3.Rebuke The Spirit Of Sleep And Wandering Mind: Rest

Say HiThe saying is true that in the world nothing is free even in Freedom. While mankind will do something good for another human with string attached, only Jesus can offer us the ultimate gift of salvation without price. Salvation is free in Jesus for we can only be saved by grace and not of works lest any man should boast.In Luke 9:23, Jesus gave a conditional sentence when He said “If anyone comes after me, let him deny himself ….” The free salvation must be accepted by the individual in order to be actualized or appropriated. Christ will not force anyone to follow Him. He has everything good to offer but each one has to decide to accept or reject the offer.Since none can save himself from the consequence of sin but must cling to the finished work of salvation of Christ, we can show our appreciation by loving Him more than ourselves. Nothing must come before Christ in our affection, our devotion and our commitment. Only Jesus can save. Come to Jesus today and you will be the one to benefit everything Jesu
