  • The Disciples Appointed and Commissioned

    18/11/2020 Duración: 01h21min

Say HiKingdom work is so large in scope that no individual Christian, family, Church or organization can do it alone. More hands are required from time to time to meet up with the task of advancing the Kingdom of God.In the above passage, Jesus appointed and commissioned additional 72 disciples. They were to go "... ahead of him to every town and place where he was to go."A. Definitions.·                                Appointed is same as chosen or selected.·                                Commissioned has to do with "authorization or command to act in a prescribed manner or to perform prescribed acts." It could also mean "authority to act for, in behalf, or in place of another." B. Appointed and Sent: 7 Ideas to Share.1.         The need to be grateful to God for being among those appointed and sent - V.1 cf. Jn. 15:16; 20: 21; Judges 1:4-7.It is a unique privilege to be appointed by God to kingdom service.Of the thousands following Jesus all over the place, just 72 were select

  • Celebrating God's Mercies

    15/11/2020 Duración: 20min

Say HiMercy according to the dictionary is to show “compassion or forgiveness toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.”Robert Young’s on the other hand explained Mercy to be as following: “kindness, loving kindness, pity, compassion, beneficent,” etcThe Almighty God has indeed been so merciful to you and I, especially since the beginning of this year. That we are alive despite going through the valley of the shadow of death of 2020 is a miracle of God’s mercies. If there is anything to be thankful to God for today, it is to appreciate Him for His boundless mercies over us all. Why Celebrate God’s Mercies?1.     We have been Preserved by His mercies - Lam. 3:22What does it mean to be Consumed? It means the following: eat up, devour, ingest, swallow, gobble up, wolf down, gorge oneself on, feast on, etc.It also means to destroy, demolish, annihilate, lay waste, wipe out, raze, gut, ravage, ruin, wreck, etc.Wow! Thank you Lord for your mercies! 2. The mercies of God never fail - Lam. 3:23God

  • In Such A Time As This

    25/10/2020 Duración: 42min

Say HiEsther is one of the two Books in the Bible named after a woman, the other is Ruth. Esther lived in a time of powerful empires and ambitious, cruel, egoistical despots. The Jewish exiles among whom Esther lived in Babylon faced a tumultuous and dangerous times of their lives. Haman, the enemy plotted against the Jews. This conspiracy was well orchestrated and its execution was also sure not to fail except for the divine intervention through Esther the Queen.  The experience of the Jewish exiles then is very similar to our present situation today as a nation. The various evils we have witnessed in the past and the experience of this past one week are enough proofs that there are evil conspiracies against us. However, the boldness and courage displayed by Esther in the face of sinister enemies and potentially dire consequences paid off eventually for the deliverance of the Jews. She was challenged to consider all her previous life experiences and her current royal position as God’s preparation “for such a

  • Man; God's Dwelling Place

    18/10/2020 Duración: 48min

Say HiIntroduction: The greatest privilege or investment God has ever made into the human life particularly His children is His indwelling presence. Our God, as great, mighty, powerful and highly exalted He is graciously and voluntarily offered Himself to live among His children in order to manifest His glory, His splendor and to display His wisdom, might and power (v. 8; Ephesians 3:8-12; Colossians 1:27). Unfortunately, many of us are ignorant or do not appreciate this divine honour. This naivety were aptly captured in the following passages of the Scriptures: Psalm 49:20; 1 John 3:9; 4:4). However, in our pursuit of becoming the Gold Church we certainly cannot afford to ignore this special right God has bestowed on us as His people. The neglect of it will render us everything but Gold. How I pray that the Lord Jesus Himself will shine His glorious light over our hearts that we may be able to comprehend this glorious riches we have as God’s people in Jesus name. A. The Necessity of God Dwelling in Man: Exod

  • The Gold Church

    11/10/2020 Duración: 50min

Say HiThe above topic was borne out of an experience God gave me some years ago in a dream. One of my spiritual fathers who is now late (Dr. Uzodinma Obed) prayed for me in that dream. Amongst many other things he said in that dream that I remember vividly was that “...the time has now come for the Gold Church.” He made several other utterances in his prayer for me in that dream which are quite personal and would be left for another time. That divine experience brought a radical turn in my life and ministry. It became the direction and the driving force for my life and ministry. The local church I was pastoring then, soon blossomed, multiplied and was able to accomplish great fetes for God in her church life and ministry. It took a while before I actually began to talk or teach about the Gold church in my last local church pastorate, because I needed a good understanding of what God was saying. While I cannot say I have it all figured out yet, I am sure I can begin to shed some light on the subject. Thank God

  • The Prayer Life of Jesus Christ

    07/10/2020 Duración: 58min

Say HiChrist life was filled with prayer. He started His ministry on the foundation of prayer, continued with prayer and ended with it. If there is someone that should be expected not to pray, it is Jesus Christ, because He is the Son of God. However, S.D Gordon who was quoted by Dave Earley said the following about the prayer life of Jesus Christ:“The man Christ Jesus prayed;he prayed; prayed much;needed to pray; loved to pray.”Prayer remains the present day ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. He ever lives to make intercession for the saints - Heb. 7:25.The goal of this message is to challenge us to step up in our prayer lives more than ever. There is so much need for praying men and women at this time. God is eagerly looking for men who will stand before the “tomb” of our Nation, family and church, as Jesus did at Lazarus' tomb, to intercede and pray them back to life - Lk. 11:41; Ezek. 22:30.May the Lord find you and I as gap fillers at this time in the life of our nation. This would be a means of ave

  • You Will See The Glory of God

    04/10/2020 Duración: 35min

Say HiThe year 2020 has been quite challenging for many of us. It has been a year in which darkness, in fact thick darkness, covers the people. Instead of experiencing God’s light and glory, some of us have had contradictions instead. The Lord has however come to assure us this morning that regardless of what you have seen in the last 9 months, you can still see the glory of God! A.      The Glory of God in Context.·             The intervention of God.·             The arrival of God in your situation·             The miracle of God·             The supernatural·             The blessing of God·             The answer of God·             The restoration of God.B.       Prerequisites for Beholding the Glory of God.There are a number of Biblical requirements to seeing the glory of God. Some of them that can be gleaned from this text include the following:1.         You need Jesus Christ the Advocate on your side - V.33-35,38,39,40,41,42-43.·             Jesus wept! That is a serious matter!·             Jesus w

  • The Death of Herod: Pathway to Fulfilling Divine Purpose

    27/09/2020 Duración: 56min

Say HiINTRODUCTIONThe death of a loved one usually bring pain, sorrow, inexplicable darkness and grief. If one is not there when it happened, it comes like a BREAKING NEWS and actually breaks one down. Death confronts us with the reality of a sudden separation and paints a picture of an irreversible situation. But there are times when receiving the news of someone's demise is also a sign of relief, peace and Joy. As Disciples of Christ, for us to arise, shine and manifest God’s glory, we must be ready to die. Probably, the reason why some of us are struggling to fulfil God’s purpose is because the ‘Herod factor’ in us has not died. We can only come alive in Christ after an experience of death to sin, self and the world (John 12:24 NLT). May the LORD help us. THE DIVINE PURPOSEGod initiated His purpose of reconciling the world by sending His only begotten Son into the world (John 3:16). The manifestation of divine purpose found expression through Joseph and Mary.Satan tried to frustrate God’s purpose befo

Say HiRISING TO SHINE OVER THE WORLD’S DARKNESS - ISAIAH 60:1-2; MATTHEW 14:22-33Being the message delivered by Olufemi Babalola at the worship service on Sunday 20th September, 2020 Introduction: It is no news again to everyone living in this world that the entire universe is under a severe attack. The Covid-19 pandemic that started like a child play has dealt a great blow to every inhabitant of the world without any exemption. This is one disaster too many in a year that has not only disrupted virtually every human endeavor worldwide, it has also claimed several lives globally and ruined many individual, corporate, national and global economies. While Covid-19 on one hand is ravaging the whole world with its devastating effects, several parts of the universe are also not at peace due to different natural and man made disasters such as hurricanes, floods, genocide, terrorism, banditry, kidnappings, rape, famines, poverty, hunger and malnutrition. Indeed, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness the peopl

  • Injury Time (Part 2)

    16/09/2020 Duración: 59min

Say HiINTRODUCTIONInjury time is the time added after regulation time before time is called to a game. It is the extra time added to compensate for time spent attending to injured players and moments not used for the specific purpose of playing during a match. It is called stoppage time! As we look at the world that we are in, we are convinced that we are in the added time of our events here on earth. The signs of the times seem to suggest that we are living on ‘borrowed time’. • THE REVEALED GLORY

    08/09/2020 Duración: 57min

Say HiINTRODUCTIONIt is still our year of supernatural light and glory. The good news is that our light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us (Isaiah 60:1). There is abundance of glory to go round. The problem is not the absence or scarcity of glory but the availability of ready glory carriers. Walking in the supernatural begins on the premise of revelation. Until a man catches a personal revelation of glory, he cannot experience and manifest the glory of God. We have learned so much about glory. It is now time for us to operate in the revelation of glory. May the Lord help us as we trust Him to develop in us the right attitude to walk in the revelation of His glory. May the Lord show us His glory. A. THE ASSURANCE OF GOD’S GLORY- Isaiah 40:4-5God is deliberate about His glory for His children. He promised us supernatural glory this year and it will come to pass.Supernatural glory is not reserved just for some people, it is originally intended for all.But there is a glory that awaits us beyond Go

    02/09/2020 Duración: 52min

Say HiINTRODUCTIONThe awaiting glory is for all those who are expectant of it. By expectant, we mean those who are prepared and working it out in faith. After every successful and faithful story of the experiences of our life journey, there is always a glory to show for it. Little wonder Moses demanded that God should show him His glory Exodus 33:18. My desire today is that the LORD will show us His glory as we look up to Him and bring an end to the somewhat torturous waiting so that men may see the glory of God after the story of our lives. In Romans 8:19-25... TO RECEIVE THE AWAITING GLORY1.           PERSEVERANCE IN GODLY SUFFERING- Romans 8:18, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, 1 Peter 4:13-16; 5:1-               Nothing is as discouraging as experiencing the delays and battling with life challenges- no one understands what you are going through when you are at the lonely moments of your life.-               At the same time, nothing can be compared to the sweet joy that comes with the breakthrough after protracted s
