Huntress and Vixen are back to back, trying to fight their way out of Cult.  Meanwhile, Black Canary is back home, trying to reason with a mind controlled Barbara Gordon, who is in the ones and zeroes fighting Braniac!    

The penultimate issue of Between Dark and Dawn really leaves us with more questions than answers.  The highlights are the moments with Huntress and Vixen.  Will Barbara be able to ward off this pseudo Braniac?  Will Black Canary be able to save a teen from committing an act of no return?  Tune in.

Huntress goes deep undercover into a cult organization, where not only is her faith and physical prowess being tested, but her chance at life or death or placed to the limit as well.  Can the Birds of Prey saved their new member from not being terminated in issue 70 of Birds of Prey?

Cool art, a Trinity guest appearance, and a well-written script almost didn't save this book's ratings, for the gross cover and subject matter within the book really ruffled the feathers of Ashford, Mark, and Laurel.  Were we too hard on this book?  Take a listen and you decide.

Feathers and Foes: The Birds of Prey Podcast is celebrating the 100th episode by doing an audio commentary to the Justice League Unlimited episode Death Match, featuring the Black Canary and the Huntress.  Also, we revisit an interview with writer Gail Simone and thoughts about Birds of Prey and where it is going. Thank all of you who came on the show are listened to us.  

Mark, Laurel, and Ashford discuss issue 66, where we flashback to Black Canary's family heritage.  That's right!  The original Black Canary is the feature in this book.  We go back to the early days of modern Gotham, where we see Larry Lance, the original Dinah, a young James Gordon...and the Origins of the Laurel in Dinah Laurel Lance.    

Episode 98 brings issue #65, where Black Canary is in dangerous company, Oracle is held captive, and Gail Simone has solidified the Huntress's detective game beyond belief.  The Birds are stronger together, but not yet.  Listen to Laurel, Mark and Ashford discuss Power and Permanence on the Wright On Network.  

Ashford, Mark, and our wonderful moderator Laurel discuss issue 64 of Birds of Prey, where the Black Canary has to team up with Lady Shiva and Cheshire.  I know, right?  Gail Simone writes a great script where the Canary has to combat on one front, and then we have Barbara Gordon being detained by some men who claim to be officers of the law, accusing her of committing treason.  Wow!  

Ashford and Mark discuss Birds of Prey number 63 with Laurel giving an excellent synopsis as usual.  This is an interesting one where we see the team up between Black Canary and Lady Shiva and discovering that Oracle has a secret group of cyber Chat Room friends.  Is this more than the Birds can handle?  And where is The Huntress? Laurel, Mark, and Ashford discuss the story after of Like Minds, The Hunt for Canary.  Remember Black Canary got a little banged up in the previous story arc?  Well, the scars remain, for she is out of commission, field agent wise.  Dinah is doing a stellar job behind the desk as the Huntress fills in for her.  

The finale of the fan favorite four part story Of Like Minds is the topic for episode 92 of Feathers and Foes.  Will Huntress and Black Canary make it out alive?  Will Oracle be able to keep her secrets intact?  If so, will Black Canary and Oracle be able to trust each other going forward through this run of Birds of Prey?  Listen to Laurel, Mark, and Ashford as they discuss the conclusion of writer Gail Simone's first story arc!

Go.  Birds of Prey #57 is finally here.  Yes, the first issue with the Huntress in Birds of Prey proper.  Sure, Huntress appeared in the Man Hunt four part story before Volume 1 of Birds of Prey, but this is the real entry! Black Canary is in serious trouble, beaten and tied up by the brilliant, but sadistic Savant.  Oracle has a cast of characters she can choose from to save Dinah, but who is the right hero to save Black Canary? And we know the situation must be terrible if Black Canary needs saving.
