Jesus is more than just the forgiver of our sins, even though that is still amazing! We can't just claim Jesus in our lives and nothing changes. We have to understand Jesus is our conquering King! We have to look at God how David did in Psalms, so we can overcome the behaviors that continue to be roadblocks in our lives. Jesus came to redeem us and to crush these works of the devil! The law of sin and death tells us the more we sin, the more death produces in the areas in our lives. The first thing sin produces is death in our spirit. Jesus came to set us free from this and break the chains of bondage in our lives!

Pastor Sergio talks to us about how Jesus and His Word are one. Jesus' Word are spirit and life. Jesus said My Word is spirit, the flesh profits nothing. We all hear the voices of our flesh and our spirit. We have to get the voice of God to be the dominant voice. Apart from God's Word, there is no power, it is the standard that brings life and wisdom! Jesus' Word gives us life even if we can't feel it. Even Jesus' hard words bring life. We can't be Christians, but still want our old self and the world. We're not called to be of the world. We cannot be a compromiser, our old life will us up. We may be our family's only hope. Compromise will open the door to devour our children. We must develop and live by Godly principles and never negotiate!

We're building the presence of God with our singing and praising. Thankfulness is a prerequisite for entertaining God. When you express thankfulness to God, He reigns His goodness and mercy. Goodness and mercy always follow a person who knows how to remain thankful and give praises to God. Thankfulness is a characteristic of the new nature and who you are in Christ. Everyday we have to decide if we're going to be the new me or the old me in our life with Christ. The act of being thankful promotes positive mental health!

God created our brains to protect and survive trials and trouble, but pain and brokenness can cause us to be centered inside ourselves and not centered in God and His Word. A self centered life keeps us confused about why we are not where God wants us to be. Most of us center our faith on our circumstances and not God's purpose. We have to humble ourselves and not allow pride to give us an improper and unrealistic view of ourselves. We have to learn as believers to not be held or limited by our natural circums

He also talks to us about how we cannot avoid being under authority and not letting our pride get in the way. We can't have authority unless we're under authority. We have to allow Jesus to be our deliverer. What God does we do, if we're not, we're not following Him. We have to make Jesus our source for everything in our lives by reading the Bible and learning about Him. If we meet Him, we'll never go back to our old lives!
