The ongoing war has taken an emotional and mental toll on IDF reservists and their families. Raziel Baraby, an entrepreneur and engineer in his civilian life and a reserve major in the Givati reconnaissance unit in his military role, realized during his experience as a commander on the battlefield that his responsibilities to his soldiers extend also to providing them with tools to build resilience. He founded the "War4Soul," forum,  comprised of IDF reservists, working to provide effective trauma treatment for reservists, and build national resilience programs. More than 400 families who lost their loved ones in the Nova festival  massacre and the ongoing war were hosted this Passover holiday at the seder of the Navah organization, which provides emotional support throughout the year to bereaved families. The Empty Chair project was begun more than two decades ago, as a way of creating a supportive space for recently bereaved families. Brooklyn-born Israeli cartoonist Yaakov Kirschen, whose iconic “Dry Bones” cartoons appeared in newspapers for decades, has died at Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba at the age of 87 after a lengthy illness. Kirschen, who made aliyah in 1971, began drawing his trademark cartoon “Dry Bones” in 1973—a series inspired by the biblical vision of the Valley of Dry Bones and featuring a main character named Shuldig (Yiddish for guilty or blame). Amid rising antisemitism and antizionist voices, particularly in North America, there is a belief that pro-Israel voices can fight back. The key is learning how to speak to progressives, where much of the anti-Israel sentiment comes from. One organization, Librael, believes that a Liberal can also be a Zionist. It’s the Passover holiday period and hopefully many people, Israelis and visitors, will be going up to the north of Israel. For the first time since the war started. And after a year and a half the kayaking is back in operation on the mighty Jordan River.
