The 42nd annual Jerusalem Film Festival gets underway next week with the traditional special opening ceremony under the stars at Jerusalem’s Sultan’s Pool before 6,000  spectators with the screening of the film “Sentimental Value.” The Director of the 42nd Jerusalem Film Festival Roni Mahadav-Levin said that hundreds of Israeli and international films will be shown at this year’s festival during the 10-day festival. A report documenting the scope of sexual violence that was committed by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre has been presented to Michal Herzog, the president’s wife.    The report was written for the Dinah Project by three prominent legal scholars: Professor Ruth Halperin-Kaddari of Bar Ilan University, the retired district court judge, Nava Ben-Or, and the former chief military prosecutor, Col, (res.) Sharon Zagagi-Pinhas.    The report proposes for the first time to prosecute the Nukhba terrorists for the sex crimes they committed by classifying them as sexual violence as a tool of war—a crime that qualifies as a crime against humanity.
