Camp Cast

On this DOUBLE episode of the podcast we have two action packed days of camp to cover. June 25th was a LATE one that included a social with Chippewa and a mini rain storm at the end, so we pushed the pod back a day. Luckily I had Evan Rosenthal, Jake Auslander, and Joey Hazan with me today to talk about a great camp Saturday and our first Lazy Day Sunday of the season. We discuss Big Ten activities, king of the camp, cabin activities, picture day, our first chance to earn our pins (bronze, silver and gold) at each activity and MUCH more. Enjoy!

Hi Everybody - Jason here. That summer went by too fast! Tonight on the pod....well you get me for the first ten minutes or so. I just couldn't resist telling you about all the awards given out tonight, the honors bestowed and the accomplishments of our campers. We have a really special group here. Parents - your kids are amazing. Thank you for sending them to CM and thank you for choosing Menominee. In this episode I'll talk about who won our main awards: Junior and Intermediate honor camper, the awards for our values, and of course, the Nate Wasserman Award to the camper who most exemplifies the Menominee Way. If that's not enough, I opened up the pod today to have boys come down and tell me their best camp moments this summer. Didn't get as many as I was hoping because it was such a busy day, but we had a lot of boys come down to chat for a minute or two and share their thoughts. Holy cow! We have had a few AMAZING days at camp. We wrapped up our Green and White competition today with a 3 hour all camp Relay...but before that we had a couple days of Green & White action and much, much more. On tonights episode we bring on the Meme Team, Jonah Gagerman, Benjie Soren and Zeke. They did one of the most popular episodes from first session so we run it back. We break down the Sing, the crazy Relay finish and everything else going on at the Friendly Confines. Enjoy!

Today was NOT just your normal lazy day Sunday at camp! We had Doc's run, loyalty awards, presented Woody with a 30 year gift, had in camp Town Day II AND had our own ski show at camp. It was another phenomenal day at Camp Menominee so today we have Asher Diamond, Chase Kaplan and Spencer Auslander on to talk about it. Enjoy!

Day 2 of the Cross Camp Classic is over...but we don't have a winner! The rain kept us from finishing it completely but we need to recap the 21 events we actually did today and where we stand. So we have Charlie Eisenberg and Ryan Weil on the podcast to help us do that. Enjoy!

Good evening everybody! We had an action packed day of competition with 27 events in the Green and White Cross Camp Classic! The boys were exhausted so I let them get some rest (they have 27 more events tomorrow) and I grab the mic and recap the day myself. Sorry folks...it's one of those Jason solo pods. So much amazingness happened at camp today that I couldn't wait for a camper to help me recap it! I recap the games, scoreboard, highlights and shout out some spectacular camper performances.  In other camp news, it was announced today that Camp Marimeta is transitioning ownership from the Cohen Family to Jami Shlensky and Nick Kase. We love Marimeta, we love the Cohens and we know that Jami and Nick are the best! So I just wanted to say a little something to our sisters over at Marimeta. Enjoy and see you tomorrow!

The Cross Camp Classic is here! On Wednesday and Thursday of this week we will be competing in a massive green and white competition that will include 54 events...and there can only be one winner. We are back! After a few day hiatus of late nights, green and white events and saying goodbye to our rookie camp brothers, we are back for a nice long episode of the pod. Hi Everybody!! We had a very exciting day at camp yesterday as we inducted 21 new members to our 5-year club. We had a special ceremony for them at night that all the boys got to see and experience. I am solo on the pod today as last night was a very late night, but I wanted to make sure you all heard from us I recorded this episode early the next morning to give you the scoop. Hope you enjoy!
