King Of The What Now?

It's time for Kat's pick for a bonus episode, and we chose the second Equestria Girls movie! We try and see if Curtis (completely removed from this series) can name the mane 6 characters and their elements of friendship/harmony, and Joel has a fanfic moment about "Shadow Luffy"- or would it be... Luffy Black? Nega Luffy? Anti Luffy? Yfful? So join us for some great laughter (and, we suppose, generosity, kindness, honesty, loyalty, and magic)!

Curtis takes the space-helm in this episode, and this time Joel is the newbie! It's also our first science fiction based bonus episodes, and it turns out Joel is a larger fan of fantasy, while this is Curtis's bread and butter. We discuss how drab and hopeless the future seems to be, moral relativity, and racial tensions, the old stable of speculative fiction. Joel predicts space Hulks and space Cthulu in future seasons. Plus, Holden and Miller should kiss.

Welcome to the very first bonus episode we ever recorded. We apologize if the audio is not what you expect- it's something of a time capsule for our old set up. But more importantly, pokemon! It's a huge series with which your hosts each have some familiarity- some strong, some not as much. Everyone's on trains in this episode: Good guys, bad guys, main characters, support characters. Among the many wonderful new faces is one that bears a striking resemblance to a former crew member. Just who IS Sogeking, and WHERE is Sniper Island?? We also discuss Wanze (the rollerblading noodle chef who shoots ramen from his nose) and his stupid face, Nero (The "Sea Weasel") and what is wrong with his face, and we discuss whether friendship lasers are believable or not. And we discuss Zoro's many moments to shine. Strap in, folks, this episode might come with some sea turbulence.

We explore yet another One Piece movie and the New Years special that sees the Straw Hats in an Alternate Universe! We generally like Chief Luffy, but are a bit more critical of the adventure on Mecha Island. We talk about... Turtle Cloacas, bad mysteries, TAKING OVER THE WORLD.... with a Turtle, and Jiggle Physics. Yes, we're fine, why are you asking?

It's a jam packed episode this week, folks. Luffy and Zoro reclaim their confidence when they hear of Robin's true motives, Zoro seems to be developing a sixth sense for cursed blades, and we're reunited with the chef with the twirly eyebrows. We also ponder nautical terms, and wonder if Geese can be classified as boats. Also, Jimmy Neutron and Fairy Tail references this week.

It's time for another trip to flash back land, where we meet two new characters. Join us as we come to the realize that weapons... can be used as weapons, and even more government corruption is revealed, what a shocker! Also, we predict Usopp will return as a martial arts master, allowing Luffy to win the tournament!

At long last, we get to see the faces behind the masks of the CP9, and they're familiar to a lot of us! We discover what Iceberg has, and whether or not it's Robin's soul in a jar, and we get super amazing kung fu powers! The action is really ramping up, and the building is going to blow in just a few more minutes!

Joel and Kat attended Kuro Neko Con, and talked about what makes One Piece so great, and why it has remained so popular after 20+ years of publication. They also talk spoilers, end-of-series theories, and take audience questions. Warning, here there be spoilers for the entire series, not just what had been previously covered.

This episode has a lot of silliness from the three hosts, including speculation about Mayoral Murder groups, and a badly sung opening. But really, that's just to offset all the unease that's going around town. Iceberg was almost murdered, and the Straw Hats are taking the heat for it! Plus, Franky is a Cyborg??

This is an emotional episode for all involved, lovely readers. Usopp has even more violence incited upon him! The Monster Trio and special guest Chopper break the Franky family! Usopp and Luffy duke it out! But this episode isn't all somber reflection and tears, we also briefly consider whether Franky is made out of Spinach, and whether Iceburg may have Robin's soul in a jar! Things are getting intense, but you can count on us to grit and bear it and muck it all up with bad jokes!

This episode is something of a double header, combining our thoughts on the sixth One Piece Movie (Baron Omatsuri's Secret Island), as well as our introduction to Water 7. We meet lots of colorful new characters, including a pigeon that controls the minds of men, and a... bunny... cat? Curtis weaves a tale of the Capulets and the Romulans, we uncover a secret society of nine celestial ponies, and Joel discovers Venice in the real world was based off of the fictional city of Water 7. In fact, perhaps we should combine those two ideas into one. Buggy Time airing on Primetime television this Winter! Plus, could Robin and Chopper be the ultimate shonen duo?

Just when you thought the Davy Back had concluded, Luffy agrees to 3 more rounds! We get 2 wacky games: Dodgeball and Red Light, Green Light, but then we get to the heart of these episodes: A Mano y Mano Captain versus Captain battle, and Luffy unlocks his inner wildness with a new outfit! We spend a lot of time head canon-ing our own ideas, but not before we give these episodes their proper respect.
