In a special extra episode of Away from the pitch, we talk with former Illawarra Premier League star Robbie Shields.  The Irish goal-getter lit up local football with Wollongong United winning back-to-back George Naylor Medals in 2013 and 2014. Shields discusses his career before moving to Australia which included spells at some of Ireland's biggest clubs as well as time with former English heavyweights Leeds United.

In the 18th and final episode of Away from the pitch, we speak with Illawarra Premier League icon Alvin Ceccoli. The six-time IPL winner discusses his time with the Wollongong Wolves and Sydney FC which saw him take out NSL and A-League titles. Ceccoli goes over his storied time in the local top-flight where he's played for Dapto, Dandaloo, Dapto Dandaloo Fury, Kemblawarra Fury, Wollongong United and Corrimal. The defender also opens up about his frustrations with the national team, for whom he's capped six times, as well as potential retirement and his footballing career after he hangs up his boots.

In episode 17 of Away from the pitch, we chat with Helensburgh coach Brad Boardman. The 2009 NSW NPL 1 player of the season discusses his impressive career which saw him shine in the in the state's top flight as well as the Illawarra Premier League. Boardman discusses his transition into coaching and the role his father and successful coach, Norm, has played in his career. The former goal-scoring ace also opens up about how joining the Gerringong Breakers late in his career reignited his love for the game.

In episode 16 of Away from the pitch, show host Dylan Arvela gets on the other side of the mic to discuss his journalism career. Arvela has been at the forefront of Football South Coast's media coverage by playing an important role in initiatives such as the FSC Weekly podcast and live streamed matches. Arvela explains how his experience with FSC helped him step into full-time journalism roles in Victoria and why he's returned to the Illawarra.

In episode 15 of Away from the pitch, we chat with Wollongong Olympic defender Mark Every. The Englishman discusses his transition to centreback from further up the park as well as his success across Wollongong United, Albion Park White Eagles and Wollongong Olympic. Every also talks about the support of his dad, Andy, who 'made' him fall in love with the game and continues to go from ground to ground to watch his son play.
