In today's HTB Bitesize, Nicky Lee talks about how in 2 Corinthians 2:4, Paul had to send a difficult letter to the Corinthian Church. Nicky shares how in the past he received some tricky letters and sometimes they have to be done. However similar to Paul, Nicky highlights that they must be done in the spirit of love.

In today’s Bible in One Year Jemima Adjei reads 2 Corinthians 1, about how Paul managed difficult conversations and circumstances in his life. Like Paul, we may receive criticism, and it may knock us down. But Paul reminds us that it is not the word of critics that define us, but the words of God.

In today’s Bitesize, George Watkinson tells us a story of when he experiences kidney stones - he thought when he got rid of them that his life would be without trouble, but low and behold when they were gone his life was not without trouble. Human life is not without trouble, but in 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4, Paul writes to a church in Corinth about his troubles and says ‘praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.

In 1 Corinthians 16, Paul talks about ‘a great door for effective work’ that has opened to him, and that ‘there are many who oppose’ him. As he discusses this passage, Pete reminds us that opposition is not a reason to step through the door.

Today Katherine Chow reads to us Proverbs 20:27 - ‘the human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on ones in most being’. Katherine invites us to look at our external behaviours, as they inform us about what we value and they tell us what we are like on the interior. Turn your heart, your inmost being to God today, and invite him in.

Today Tash Kusi explains how King David wanted to live in a blameless way, an in a just way, so that he could reflect God’s heart. This was his heart for his government. We may think our own government may not reflect this same heart, however Tash encourages us to pray that our government are doing was God wants. "

Today Kira Taylor discussed Proverbs 20:24, where a similar question is asked - ‘how then can anyone understand their own way?’. This verse also provides the answer - ‘a person’s steps are directed by the Lord’. Kira invites us today to take some time to see where God is moving in our life. God is directing our steps, we just need to look at the signposts.

Today Stephen Foster reads 1 Corinthians: 13, which says ‘love is patient, love is kind’. Stephen talks about how we can use a prayer method to grow these characteristics in ourselves and explains how this passage reveals that these are the characteristics Jesus has - Jesus is patient, Jesus is kind.

Today Ruth May encourages us to read the book Song of Songs, which tells the story of a love between a shepherd and a shepherdess, it tells the the story of God’s love for Israel and it it tells the story that Jesus has for us, his bride.

Naomi Bradish together with her husband Chris lead St Mary’s Andover which was planted from HTB last year. Naomi is a qualified Social Worker and a full-time mum to their three children. We hear Naomi talk about how we can experience God's love and faithfulness in unexpected ways.

Today, Jemima Adjei talks about how Psalm 98 tells a story about God and what he has done for us - ‘sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvellous things’.

Today Nicky Lee talks about how his grandfather came to know Jesus in the last few months of his life on earth. His grandfather requested that Ecclesiastes 12:1 - ‘Remember your Creator in the days of your youth’ - was read at his funeral. Nicky reflects on how this was a message to his family to not to leave it as late as his grandfather had.

Today, Azande Mbhele looks at Psalm 95 which tells us ‘we are the people of God’s pasture, we are the flock under his care’. Azande’s prayer for us is that as we throw ourselves into worship, and that as we lift the name of Jesus, we become more like him. "

Today, Lewis Dean looks at the questions he had in his life before he knew Jesus; 'Is there more to life than this.'. Be encouraged that you can have a relationship with God, who calls you for a life or adventure and a life of meaning.
