The Passover the last year Jesus attended was no doubt the largest religious gathering of the day. It was to this gathering that Jesus was heading when He arrived in Bethany, six days before the Passover.

Jesus certainly didn’t hold back when the time was right for Him to show us His love.

In the raising of Lazarus, some saw a demonstration of the glory of God and others never saw it.

We sometimes get the idea that, if Jesus is present, nothing bad will happen. The sisters of Lazarus certainly believed it.

Today we come to the final, and most spectacular, miracle of Jesus’ ministry: the resurrection of Lazarus.

What is it that makes a good teacher into a really great teacher?

The Lord is my shepherd.

Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would open the eyes of the blind. And while Old Testament prophets did on occasion perform miracles---even miracles of healing---none of them caused the blind to see. Restoring sight to the blind, however, was our Lord’s most frequent miracle.

Who sinned? Whose fault is it? Did he sin, or did his parents sin?

How did they react to Jesus challenging their spiritual legitimacy?

How did your religious heritage affect you?

Don’t remain a seeker... or a believer. Commit to becoming a disciple.

We must remember whose we are, what that means in an insane world, and the glorious future that awaits us.

The most important question anyone can ask, and answer, is "who is Jesus?"

Unless you believe, you cannot come. You are of this world and you shall die in your sins. That summed up the consequences of unbelief in Jesus’ day. And the same is true today.

Are you walking in the light?

“Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.” Where did that phrase come from?

If there is a thirst in your soul, ask the Lord to fill your cup. Lift it up to Him, and accept His offer to so fill you with Himself that rivers of living water will flow from your innermost being.

One of the most beautiful promises to believers is found in John 14:1-3... That promise, however, is not addressed to everyone.
