In this week's episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie discuss this thought: If a person has no knowledge of God's blessings, does that make it wrong for another, with knowledge, to enjoy the blessing? Of course not. The responsibility then lies in (1) sharing the blessing, and (2) sharing the knowledge. There are many interesting factors here, but what is definitely true is that all of us walk in blessings according to the knowledge we have. "Hey, I am what I am..." Have you ever heard someone say that? (or maybe you've said it?) It's more of a common response than it should be when making excuses for personality or behavior. The Apostle Paul said the same thing, but he added some truth to his statement. "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect..." (1 Corinthians 15:10). In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about this very important understanding of grace. The Bible instructs us to not take the grace of God in vain, which means without effect or even in an improper manner. In most cases, taking grace for granted is not intentional but understanding how God intended grace to operate in our lives can be a huge help!

In typical February fashion, we chose to talk about LOVE in this episode of Identity Advantage. But the real question is, should this topic be isolated to one month or day each year? Of course not. What you choose to wear typically fits your mood or your day (such as work, play, etc). So isn't it interesting that the Bible says LOVE is your all-purpose garment? In other words, it's important to first know God loves you. And secondly, that love should be something you choose to wear everyday. Our identity is often defined by our wardrobe (or we hide behind a certain persona that we want others to see us as). The same is true in a spiritual sense. Last week we talked about Rejection to Serenity. There seemed to be more to this topic because there are two sides of rejection -- the one hurt and the one doing the rejecting. Or a better question is, why do we guard ourselves from accepting others? There can be many reasons, but as Christians our responsibility is to reflect Christ, so the question remains. P.T. Jesus said, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are in My way [an offense and a hindrance and a snare to Me]..." (Matthew 16:23, Amplified). In another translation, He said, "Get away from Me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me..." (NLT). What was He talking about? What could possibly have been the most dangerous trap that even the Son of God recognized it for what it was?
