In THE GENERAL'S DAUGHTER John Travolta has an atrocious Southern accent for a stretch of undercover work but thankfully for the enjoyment of at least one host he manages to sweat for nearly the entire runtime of this problematic thriller. Madeline Stowe attempts to be the only adult in the room as we kink-shame the Army before we really shame them for truly foul deeds. Twenty years later and thankfully AUSTIN POWERS did not have the staying power of James Bond. David Strathairn in his tighty whities is an accurate but misleading way to sell John Sayles' LIMBO from the summer of 1999 but we hope we have your attention to give this film/episode a try.
