This week, Paul jumps back into Pokemon with Pokemon X and will be hosting the Pixel Response Pokemon Tournament next week. Nathan plays Beyond: Two Souls to completion and describes David Cage’s new story-telling issues and whether or not he’d pay for Ellen Page. Nathan watches Rush, a boring movie about boring racing and the two talk about their distaste for Ron Howard and “Top 10” lists.

Alec Holowka has been a pillar of the indie gaming community ever since Aquaria came out to much critical acclaim in 2007, so Paul and Nathan were humbled to have him on this episode of Indie Talks. Indie Houses, Towerfall (which just hit a bunch of other platforms but we talk some OUYA too), the Infinite Ammo podcast and a really honest and open conversation about the development of Marian are all contained within these couple hours.

Paul catches up on some anime with the first season of Attack On Titan and the second season of Legend of Korra while Nathan watches some space and sci-fi movies like Gravity, Zardoz and Rollerball. In the same vein, Paul watched After Earth and struggles to say anything good about. Also, Limp Bizkit is rockin’ the set.. it’s like Russian Roulette…

After a ravagingly awesome, insightful and, dare I say, hilarious episode of Spoiled! in which Paul, Nathan, Peter and Ben talk for nearly two hours about Breaking Bad… the recording is ruined and our heroes are in disarray. Sorry about that. Anyways, Peter from SpaghettiCast joins Paul and Nathan to discuss brief Breaking Bad business before Nathan describes how he relates to Don Jon and how Paul is less-than-impressed with This Is The End. Also, Now You See Me plays the greatest magical heist you could possibly imagine!

Riding high from his break-out success Proteus, Ed Key talks to us about his game shortly after its initial release and a whack of random other details including the weather (?), Nathan’s fascination with Steve Coogan and what makes a game “a game”.

We’re back after some scheduling issues last week and Nathan has been playing a whole bunch of Hello Kitty! Island Adventure! Nah, just messing with ya, of course he’s been playing ungodly amounts of Grand Theft Auto V and has a whole bunch to say about it (while not saying anything to ruin it for Paul). Paul is probably done with World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria after hitting level 90 and instead has been spending time catching up on Breaking Bad and playing The Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures! Also, Nathan gets called out for being too talkative? WE CAN DO VOICEMAILS NOW! SEND YOUR COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS IN!

Nathan comes home from the Penny Arcade Expo and discusses some lamentations and general feelings from the event. We discuss the “dickwolves” controversy, the differences between League of Legends and Dota 2, jobs that suck and take opposite sides on whether or not Spring Breakers is any good at all. Also, get off our lawn ya damn kids!

Kyle Pulver has always made games using interesting mechanics and ideas, even before his breakout hit Offspring Fling gained popularity in the wider video game audience. Combined with a background in design and art, he has quickly become a household name to the indie game crowd and is an all around awesome guy to have chats with about his craft!

Sean joins Paul this week and the two spend some time talking about not being at PAX (where Nathan is), favorite types of cheese, whether or not The Great Gatsby is worth watching, just how bad are “super hero” movies of the past and how Sean and Paul play Pokemon radically different. Also, Hayao Miyazaki announces his retirement.

This week, we talk about horror movies as Nathan watches The Happening, Scream 4, Dead Silence and Pet Sematary? Again? Paul enjoys some aliens in Dark Skies and gets around to playing Gone Home after getting himself caught up in the Kick-Ass comic book and reminding him of why the first movie was any good at all. The two talk some fun at the theaters after seeing The World’s End and debate the quality of Batman movies when Ben Affleck got announced as the new Batman. Also, Jack Nicholson is kind of the only reason to watch the movies he’s in, right?

We return once again to talk about comic book violence on the big screen in Kick-Ass 2 and its severe lack of Nic Cage. Nathan has been playing Gone Home while Paul watches Oblivion and plays a bunch more Dota 2. Also, old movies predicting the future are eerily still relevant.

We’re straight on the heels of the biggest Dota 2 event of the year so Paul discusses The International 3 and esports in general while Nathan has been spending time making some SaltyBets (which, if you don’t know, are the new phenomenon). In the off-time, Paul has been grinding out some Rogue Legacy and Nathan has spent probably too much time sorting documents in Papers, Please. The new Evil Dead is kind of meh while Bullet To The Head is good and V/H/S 2 is still kind of fun. Apparently, Elysium is pretty good as long as you don’t care about story. Also, The Shining mini-series is kind of shitty. P.S. Stay after the outro music for another half-hour movie chat with Robbap1!

Paul and Nathan group up with Ben and Peter from SpaghettiCast to talk Britain’s only baby, porn, illegal actitivities, cosplay and Hercules beetles. Also, we try to prank call Gamestop but technology doesn’t work.

We talk about Ryan Davis from Giant Bomb’s untimely death, what it means to us and a bit about floods. Rest in peace, duder.

Things get a little saucy with Nathan back from E3 and we do a late night recording after Nathan gets some bad news regarding his employment. Speaking of bad news, Calgary is basically under water from massive floods and 10% of the population are forced to evacuate their houses. Perfect time to talk some Man of Steel, Warm Bodies and random video games right? Okay, we discuss the flood for quite some time too. Also, is Mike Krahulik really worth getting mad at?

Would you pay for this podcast? I sure wouldn’t. This week, Nathan goes on a trip and gets his car impounded, we talk some more hockey playoff shenanigans, Paul finally watches Skyfall and people got pissed off about people being too invested in Game of Thrones. Nathan has a great idea for a personal Kickstarter, the co-founder of the Oculus Rift was tragically killed and Speed Runs are the new REAL “Major League Gaming” sport champions. Also, would you eat yourself to sustain your life?

Xbox One happened. Do we care? I guess enough to talk about it for close to 40 minutes. We talk some basic hockey play-off opinions, make predictions and remember the brief moments the Calgary Flames were decent. Nathan gives some opinions on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories and Paul talks about some small random Netflix movie he decided to give a shot called Archie’s Final project. Nathan gives the rundown on some Fast & Furious 6 as well as a movie called Mud while Paul’s been watching a whole lot of footage from SpeedDemoArchives’ “Awesome Games Done Quick 2013” marathon. Also, Kijiji can be a dangerous place sometimes and moving sucks.

We’re happy to have Fen from Ventchat to come in and answer all our burning questions about the OUYA. Nathan gets excited for E3, Paul plays some Marvel Heroes beta and went to see Iron Man 3. Star Trek: Into Darkness is discussed with slight spoilers, games are getting too scary and the DarkNet keeps beckoning. Nathan is impress with Super Mario 3D Land and Nintendo decides to collect money from their video-enthused fans. Also, we discuss some of the terrible things we’ve seen online.

Nathan sees Iron Man 3, Paul has a collecting problem and the two talk some Guitar Hero and uselessness of “Reset” buttons. Paul watched Noobz and has a general disdain for “Gamer Culture” and Nathan is anticipating E3. Also, Art History is a totally useless class that we both seemed to have had to take.
